Love this store! Reminds me of visiting Rector's Bookstore downtown with my dad 50 years ago. I have to wonder, though, why your street view shows the back of the shopping strip!

For a used (and new), book store, this place has a very large selection, nice areas to sit and peruse the books. It seems well run, and is organized nicely. I would always prefer a local business to a Barnes Noble type chain, so I come here first. I think they can order any book, new or used. They have periodic coupons in the Wichita Eagle too!

Bookaholic is the go-to place for books. The staff is so knowledgeable and helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else in town for used books.

Was told about their book trade in and purchase program a couple of weeks ago. When I brought books in on Saturday, I was told to look around while they checked the books. The books were in new condition written by popular authors on the New York best seller list. When I brought the books I was purchasing to the counter, I was told they only accept paperbacks. No one ever stipulated that the program involved only buying or trading paperbacks the day I was informed about the program. I was surprised to hear that especially since the day I was given the information about their book program, the man at the counter in front of me had just received credit for a bag of hardcover books. They wouldn't exchange my books but they had no problem asking me to donate them to their warehouse sale. The girl saw the books were hardcover when she took the bag and pulled them out. She didn't say anything to me about not accepting hardcover books. I don't appreciate deceitful business practices. I've been to the store on 21st St. They also told me about the program and never said it was paperbacks only.

In terms of selection, this Book-a-Holic seems have a lot more categories, but is overall geared towards "women" genres and children. There's a large selection of young adult, tween, and children's book. Lots of romance, mystery, and general fiction. A good, but not quite hearty, selection of fantasy and science fiction. The sections do need more labels, so if you're looking for something specific, you better know what author you're looking for. Even then, they seem to have separated the paperbacks from the hardcover and "high quality" books. I found Robert Jordan and his Wheel of Time series in three different places! So, overall, it can feel a bit disheveled, but you can tell they take good care of the store.
