My husband and I are currently checking out local muskegon churchs for a good home church especially for our 2 girls. We went to a church that we found a little too liberal and didn't feel like we were learning anything, the next church we tried was too traditional and VERY judgmental. The things I really want in a church is one where I can learn, not be judged if things I believe are a little different (like I think tatoos and piercings don't really matter even though I have neither), not a huge church so that my family can really be active in the church, and since we have 2 girls I don't ever want my girls to believe that their role is to serve a man and be submissive! This church really impressed me even talking about women being equal to men and having a woman and husband team as pastors is AWESOME! The pastors and the people were very friendly and welcoming! I'm not sure if we will try other church's first but so far this one is for sure in the lead! I would recommend to anyone even just to visit!!!
This little historic building holds a church filled with sweet worship, interesting teaching, meaningful communion, and the presence of God. The rules and traditions of "church" are downplayed and just getting to know Jesus as a friend is emphasized. The pastors are very nice, and very down to earth. This little church is a gift to Muskegon. If you are interested in God, go to Bluffton Church to find out what all this "Jesus" business is really about.
