Small rooms but with everything you need. Helpful hosts with great recommendations for food and snowshoeing locations
Very friendly staff there was an overnight snow storm that provided a lot of early season snow and not only was our entrance cleared but around our vehicles before we attempted to leave definitely would recommend
Front desk was owner , very hospitable, friendly, answered questions got out map showed me what I needed to know. Clean rooms.
While the decor is a bit outdated, the rooms were incredibly clean and the owners incredibly friendly. This was definitely the right place to spend our money rather than spending double at one of the national chains in the area. We'll definitely be back!
Very clean, very good service by the owner. Extremely reasonable rates, its a steal!
I came across the Bluffs Inn quite a few years ago when I had a crew of guys working in the area. We first stopped at a motel on the E side of Bessemer, and then went to the Bluffs Inn on the West side. They were polite (unlike the first motel we tried), the place looked fine, and were flexible with our unpredictable schedule. The accommodations were comfortable, was a good location, and rates were quite fair. Very informative about places to eat, and things to do in the area, which were much appreciated. Over the years, we have brought family and friends to stay there on ski and/or snowmobile trips, and continue to do so.
Myself and 2 buddies were there snowmobiling the same weekend as the Kyle Wold character that left feedback here. This is one of the things that makes me mad about social media. Too easy to say something untrue about someone or someplace, and I just can’t let this slide. These little rich kids driving Daddy’s customized truck with a Wold Construction company logo on the side, want to party like rock stars, trash a room, get asked to behave, and then leave bad feedback for the place. Sorry buddy, you don’t get to cause the problem, and then talk bad about the business for not letting you trash their place. It doesn’t work that way. I give the owners credit for talking to the group, and asking them to try to be a little neater.
The Bluffs Inn is a clean, comfortable place to stay for a reasonable rate, and with all of the outdoors stuff to do in the area, a great place to base out of.
Probably the worst place I have ever stayed at. With crabby people, strict rules and smelly rooms!! Lost a customer that's in the area every weekend in the winter months.
Unlike the other reviewers I had a great experience with the couple that was running it, plus a well needed good nights rest. People seem to forget that you get what you pay for. Is it a fancy hotel or even a franchise hotel? No, It's a "Mom and Pop" run motel that depends on seasonal tourism. The rate was more then fair, the room was clean, it did not stink like most of the franchised hotels I stay at when I travel for work, and its safe. Best part was I got some great fishing tips. If you need a place to crash and your not a snob then this is a perfect spot.
