Cons:
The Bloody Mary was small and a little flavorless, mostly just salty.
They use big bulky tablets as menus which I’m not sure what the point of. The waiter said it’s better because they can remove something from the menu if they’re out of it but that seems like a small benefit for such a clunky menu.
The blue point were mediocre-good and the Malbec oysters were mediocre at best. They were very fresh though.
Pros:
Attentive and quick wait staff.
Their food is worth the price.
The grouper berry salad was phenomenal.
A nice atmosphere with great outdoor seating.
The food came out quickly and there was a good portion size.
The service was terrible and the food was awful. Ordered the New York strip steak, came out purple and then after it was sent back and cooked longer it was brought back only to find out that over half of the steak was all fat and chewy, for a 30.00 steak it should be at least edible. After notifying the waiter he didn’t even offer an apology, just brought out the bill. Terrible experience all around will not be going back.
Dale provides excellent service and the food is great. Husband always has oysters on the half shell, and he tried the sirrachi shrimp. Loved both. I am a landlubber so I had the Chicken Milanese, quite tasty and enough for lunch the next day.
Food and service always fantastic. We always take new people there, and they always enjoy it just as much. The experience has never let us down.
Blue Pointe is a very good seafood restaurant with excellent friendly service, indoor and outdoor seating, a nice variety of offerings on their menu, and well prepared seafood. It is located at the Bell Tower Shops, so the parking is free and convenient. We will definitely return to this restaurant, especially for the blue cheese coleslaw.
Worst oysters I ever had spent $78 on two dozen blue and they was the size of quarter. I told my waiter my dislike of them and he told me I'm sorry you feel that way everyone else likes them.. I left writing on my check I will never step foot in this place. $110 the food would have been better at McDonald's avoid this place.
Blu Pointe Oyster Bar, Bell Towers Mall, Ft. Myers,Fl., Here is my 2 cents on my meal and chatter
I was there on a Monday. They have a special for 15 bucks all you can eat mussels.
There are four different types of preparations. I loved the house brand and the curry milk. Delish.
Blue cheese eehhh very messy and bacon not so good, overwhelmed the mussels.
Plus you are given fresh hot bread. As much as you wish. So soak up the juices of mussels. A rarity today.
The sweet tea was great and unique. Due to Irma, they were short on regular sugar and improvised with brown sugar. Excellent.
Service was stellar staff. .Thank you ,Winona.
Will be back.
First time won't be the last. Everything was cooked perfect and service was excellent. Desserts can be shared by many. You won't be disappointed.
I love this place! I have been here to many times to count. With success in the restaurant business, many times little things change. Prices start to go higher and portions are smaller. I will go back soon, but it's getting pricy. I hope the owners read this. Still a great place to eat in Fort Myers. Great atmosphere with their latest remodel and the staff is excellent. Great location.
My husband, dog and myself always enjoy everything we are served. They gave amazing clam chowder and the slaw is to die for. We always look forward to birthdays! Free birthday meals and the fact that you can bring a well behaved dog I'd give ten stars of possible!!
The perch was Fan-Tastic and the service was extraordinary if you go there ask for Johnny
Great food great waitress great atmosphere would've been 5 stars but the drinks weren't the best
Manager-Nicholas, really overly concerned about a 68 yr old grandmother sharing food with 2 year grandson-this was always a favorite dining place for our family, over 3 years we've been frequent diners. Grandmother has MS, can't eat well, and usually shares with grandson. Was told today, no adult can order a kid's meal-even though we ordered 2 for grandson, Nicholas stated, "no child can ever eat 2 meals, and it is not permitted for you to order a kid's meal.
Money is not an issue for this family, in addition to 2 kids meals, we still had drinks and 2 other adult meals for our party of 3 and 1 child. He truly ruined and embarrased our elderly mother for what? He lost maybe $5?? What kind of manager would be so ignorant of customer relations? I guess they're hard up for cash??
Food and service were ok, but not what I expected given the projected ambience. The wild blue mussels were a bit fishy and not too flavorful. I've had better at more casual seafood spots. The calm chowder was average at best, a bit watery for my taste.
Have heard nothing but great things about this place but was less than impressed. Nice setting. Lunch service was intolerably slow by any standard. My wife's salmon was so over cooked it was almost bone dry and had to be returned. My much touted Cobb salad was soggy, limp, and disappointing given its $15 cost. A friend dining with us returned her wine for replacement. The first glass was stale. The staff was nice and responded to requests, but overall, the place did not live up to what I had hoped for based on prior recommendations.
