It was great! Unique food and friendly staff! I suggest the pickle chips sounds weird but is very good!😁

All the small plates are delicious but I highly recommend the shrimp tacos. They look and taste amazing!

Awful. I don’t even feel like wasting my time writing how many times our waitress screwed up the order. Not even any kind of remorse or apology either. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Ordered chips with hummus and guacamole. Awful, chips stale guacamole sour. Took bar 2 times to make a simple Malibu bay breeze. Wait staff friendly but not knowledgeable.

I'm totally changing my review now! It was 4 stars, now barely a 3. I ordered a couple burgers to go tonight for my husband and I, but when I arrived, I was handed the bill that was not as expected. The online menu is wrong! The burgers went up in cost again! We like the bacon and peminto cheese on ours. They wanted to charge $1 each on top of the $11 burger! They made it right when I mentioned that it was different online. Then when I get home, they didn't even put the bacon on either burger, after trying to charge me for it! Disappointed!!!! I'm from Black Mountain, born and raised, and I'm disappointed with Ale House! It's a bar and grill, not upscale dinning!

There is a nice little outdoor seating area that's great to grab a couple of beers and relax in the mountain air. It can get crowded, but it seems mostly due to the weird shape of the space. The food is good pub grub, but just that. I've eaten here several times and it's a little boring. The wings aren't great. The burger is a little weak. They aren't terrible, but definitely not a destination for food. If you want beer or mixed drinks, you're in the right place.

Super long wait for our food.
Semi decent service. The host helped us more than our server did and I understand being busy but apart of being a server is being able to handle everything. They where a nice enough person but not a good server.
When we finally got our food our appetizers came out a few minutes before our entrees, we had zero time in between.
our steaks where extremely over cooked.
The Manger did get right on trying to fix our food when we finally did get our meal the steaks had zero flavor and where full of fat.
It was a waste of cow, time and money.

I was excited to take my partner there and was extremely let down.
Every other time I have eaten there it has been wonderful.
I understand that everyone has a off night but this was not worth the money
    The music was spectacular though

Veggie plate sounded good. Turned out to be overpriced. Chickpea Burger, pretty good. Service pretty good. Good beer list, but not well poured.

Ordered a rueben and two porters. The meat was stacked high and the beers were tall. Everything tasted very fresh, the beer especially. The owner brought my dog water and my son some toys. The owner is experienced in restaurant work and experience talks.

I'm currently sitting in the restaurant and had to leave a review. Not only is the food amazing and fresh but the staff is super friendly and the beer is all local craft beer from NC. Thank you for the great experience. It's always nice to come to a place that makes the majority of what they serve from scratch and have pleasant servers as well. 2 huge thumbs up!!!!!
