DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!! 6 months ago I called this company to assess water damage and possible mold due to a bathtub. Paid what woman on phone now calls a service charge of $750.00. The young man was here 20 minutes and told me I had extensive water damage and mold. No testing was done. This company only demos and don’t repair. I went wit another company. And discovered NO WATER DAMAGE AND NO MOLD!!!!! $750.09. Is an outrageous service charge!!!!

Completely diagnosed the situation and offered advice without a service call. The project did not require extensive use of his company and we are able to fix the problem ourselves. He was honest and professional without causing us an expensive bill. I honestly appreciate him for not taking advantage of a situation that he clearly could have. Thank you Ted.

Buyer Beware! If I could give a zero I would. This was by far the worse experience we have ever encountered with a company. Ted is a sweet talker and very unprofessional. He was too busy trying to go on vacation instead of communicating properly to help us better understand the process. Not worth the money or the headache.

Buyer beware!
We just moved to SC from WI. We had potential mold in our newly purchased log home so started calling mold remediation companies. After recieving a quote that was quite high based on a visual review my wife called Biotek. Ted talked to my wife and told her to not call a hygienist to test as he would come and test and give us a remediation plan to fix the issue. Ted came into my house with a flashlight and moisture sensor. Never actually used the sensor, didn't test the air or take a sample of what we believed to be mold. Stated there was essentially mold all over our home without testing anything just using a flashlight and charged us $375 to flash his light on our walls. Also told us that we didn't have to take care of our attic which had surface mold on the insulation even though this seemed to be the problem area Basically said we had mold on all surfaces and needed to clean everything, throw away all our belongings inside and with that flashlight determined it would be $20-30k to solve
After he left I had a two testing companies come review the situation both of which do not offer remediation just do the actual testing, provide results from a 3rd party and provide a suggested plan of action both said our mold levels were not significant based on the analysis, but should clean a few trouble areas and seal a few cracks. I feel Ted used fear mongering to try to force us to pay a ridiculous amount of money for his profit. Ted stated "there are a lot of snakes in this industry so you have to watch out" well seems I was looking at one of those snakes in the face.
Do your research, have things actually tested and don't just believe the first fast talking remediation company that walks through your home. You can solve on your own for a fraction of the cost.response / report this review
