We have purchased several pieces from Bill Hester over the last several years. Each time he has been wonderful to work with and has always gone the extra mile. We’ve frequented other galleries where the employees dismiss us due to our age, whereas Bill has always been kind and generous towards us.
While visiting Santa Fe on June 5th for a family function, we visited galleries on Canyon Road. Upon entering and viewing pieces in the Bill Hester gallery, he identified himself as the owner when asked. As I walked through mentioning my thoughts on pieces hanging in HiS gallery, he belittled, mocked, chastised my taste in the art pieces. As I was leaving the gallery and saying how beautiful a hanging was near the entrance, he again down graded my thoughts on the piece. As my family and I were discussing the encounter we came to the conclusion Bill Hester is rude, anti social, and lacks understanding of others knowledge and heart for the arts. I would not recommend this gallery to anyone.
My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Bill Hester’s Gallery on the last day of our trip to Santa Fe. We had gone into many galleries looking for the perfect piece to add to our home collection. We walked in and were drawn to one of Sean Wimberlys pieces. Bill was excited about the artist and told us all about the piece. Thank you Bill! We can’t wait to hang our new piece!
Best Gallery in Santa Fe
Just returned from Santa Fe and hung up our new painting. We saw so much beautiful and thought provoking art during our week long excursion. When it came time to buy we returned to Bill's gallery due to the positive customer experience when we were browsing. He provided interesting background information about the artists. He also was a non-pretentious dude. Thanks Bill! We will be back.
Wonderful service. I have purchased three paintings from this gallery and each time they have personally delivered my paintings to Houston, TX. The owner is a very interesting person. Take the time to visit with him. He is so interesting to talk with. He delivers painting all over the United States. He takes the time to inform and teach the buyer not only about the particular paintings, but about the artists themselves.
