Very nice clean store and the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable and the seafood and meat is the freshest I have ever seen unlike stop and shop that talks me there fish was fresh and when I got it ready to cook it had long white worms in it .come to find out they don't throw out there rotten food they poor Marinade on it to cover the smell of rotten ness
Big store. Great selection. Big y brand food is much better than most no name brands. Though the pizza could be better
I don’t like this store and I wouldn’t shop here and support this business or the management. Most of there products (big y products) contain all kinds of harmful chemicals like high fructose corn syrup to name just one of the things. They are way over priced too - and among other things I’ve desperately tried to get a job at this place and applied multiple times and no one ever got back to me even after I went into the store and talked to the management. The management is awful. There discriminatory and the owner should probably fire all management and re hire some actual professionals. I’d go to Whole Foods, Shaw’s, or Roche brothers if your looking for a good place to shop with quality food or if you’re looking for a job! Thanks!
Best Supermarket in the western suburbs. Quality of products made there is great and the best part is the people that work there are really special. They take a lot of PRIDE in what they do and how they treat the customer. Service there is outstanding ! ! !
Walpole Big Y is the best supermarket in at least a 5 mile circle. The Norwood Big Y is ghetto. I won't go into the Norwood Big Y, even if I'm at the Planet Fitness next door. I will drive to Walpole. (If you're ever in the Franklin area, the Franklin Big Y is very good, right up there with the Walpole). But back to Walpole - Excellent sales, Good product selection. Great deli and prepared foods, a decent sized organic/Gluten free section if you're into that, they work hard to keep lines moving, place is clean and well-lit, everyone seems friendly and helpful. What's not to like?
Had good promotion and discount plans when opened. Closes all next year. Prices went a way up.
Conveniently located, friendly staff, well managed- only wish there were more gluten free, organic, and plant-based eating options in the prepared or prepackaged section of store. Sushi contains soy sauce making it unsafe for celiacs, and the pizza and subs look incredible but there aren't many options for GF people!
This place is quite expensive. Thier employees might be nice but the management is not. They treat thier employees like dirt. I refuse to go to a store that abuses thier employees for the sake of satisfying customers.
Has a lot of fresh foods. Lots of unique sales, like buy 1, get 2 free. That's a bargain.
They have good deals. Outta great for families nd special gatherings
My favorite supermarket by far! Clean, products I want, great deli meat, great selection!!
Best in area by FAR - easy parking, great selection, aisles are wide enough for two CARTS top notch customer service if needed.and good prepared foodwon't go anywhere else
I work in the same lot so I figured this would be a cheaper and quicker then most restaurants. Long waits to be cashed out. The staff there pretty much are drones who stare off like they can't hear you when you need help. Seriously
When I think of Big Y I think of a Higher end Stop & Shop. Inside feels nicely laid out, clean, super friendly staff, and has amazing produce and seafood. Only thing they need to work on is getting the good deli that Stop & Shop has, which is mainly to just get Boars Head in their store. Once that happens, I will come here over S&S every time. Also try and a self check out line, people like those more nowadays. Has a Sushi bar too!
I like the Big Y for their soups and convince foods. They also make decent pizzas and have a sitting area to enjoy the food you buy. There never is much of a wait here when checking out and there always a tends to be grocery baggers. I wish it was a bit closer to where I lived and I would shop there more often.
