Reasonable rates and good service. Central location to the lower Keys. Lots of touristy stuff to do within a 30 minute drive. Very nice family diner shares the same parking lot. Missed one star only because they don't have a pool.

They are fighting to recover from hurricane IRMA,but they are open and providing accommodations for the workers involved in the recovery operations. Bring them some business. The four star rating is based on this, for now. I'll rate it again in a few months.

Hi I just want to say to whoever wants to come and stay at this Motel it's not like a five-star or 10 star hotel but hey guess what I really enjoyed it the price was right this is where you know you could sleep the AC works the hot water and Cold Water Works it's clean to me clean and I really enjoyed staying here I'm checking out Sunday but I'm going to hang out in the keys at a really low price where can you get that so whoever comes to this place has to realize you're not buying looks you're being smart and saving money

Big pine key motel was clean, convenient and very affordable! The staff was great and we definitely will consider this motel for our next visit!

If you're prissy and need an HDTV and cable tv, then don't bother. BUT.. If you plan on enjoying the many activities in the keys, north to south, this is the place for you. Honestly, if you use a hotel as anything but a place to rest your head gtfo out of here. GO OUT AND ENJOY NATURE YOU IDIOTS.
But back to the motel. Its clean. Very clean. The staff is friendly. Its literally dead smack in the middle of the keys. What more could you want?response / report this review -

Consistent with expectations for a basic lower-budget motel.
No issues with check-in and was able to park directly in front of the room. Not a lot of maintenance or upkeep has been done on this motel so the room and furnishings are worn and dated. Many of the rooms seem to be occupied by long-term renters.
Room and linens were clean and the room was quiet, bathroom was unusually small and in poor repair.
Front desk staff were friendly, coffee shop / diner on property was better than expected.
The "outdoor pool" advertised here has long been abandoned.

Had to fly down to the keys late December 2015,to deal with my best friend's property ( truck, motorcycle, and clothing ) after he had passed away from a motorcycle accident while vacationing. The owner, and staff were the best people on this earth. Picked me up at the airport, and gave us a room ,no charge, while I dealt with the police and tow company. I would recommend this motel, just for the compassionate staff alone. I will definitely go back during happier times, and stay here again. Thank you again, for everything. Rick N. UMMC
