Great customer service !! I am traveling ,and had to get warranty frame parts replaced on my "tall boy" they head me in and out in vary short time.
The best of being a neighborhood bike shop combined with passionate bike pros who ride and know what they are talking about. Friendly, professional and knowledgable.
Not a professional bike rider , however I was forced to take my electric bike in for repairs over the years. I say forced because another shop listed as a certified CURRIE TECH shop really screwed me and over charged me literally hundreds of dollars.
This place is amazing , each part , each added fee (none) and labor charges are crystal clear before you leave, that alone is remarkable. (seeing how every repair shop seems to have hidden fees and such) Not only are they clear about prices , the prices are ASTONISHING fair! Some of the bikes for sale are priced more then my 1st car , intimidating at 1st sight. But this is the best most reliable and honest bike repair shop I've been to in GA . Customers service 5 star and work 5 star.
I needed to have the Campy shifter on my bike rebuilt, and I don't know of any other shops in town that do that work. While they were doing that, I had The Bicycle Doctor replace the cables and cable housings and give the bike a complete tune up. That's the first major tune up on that bike in about 15,000 miles. The bike is working as well as it ever has!! Nice work guys!!! Now, if they could just tune up the engine, I'd be in great shape.
For what it's worth, I do not normally write reviews unless someone or something upsets me. I expect things to go well, so when they do, I don't think that's worthy of praise. With that being said, I can truly appreciate great service and think it should be recognized. A few months back I was in the market to purchase a new bike. Knowing The Bicycle Doctor carried the brand I was interested in, I figured I would drop by and see what they had to offer. Within minutes of meeting the owner, I knew instantly this was someone who valued his costumers. He appreciates the opportunities to create new relationships. It felt like I had been doing business with him all my life. Within a short conversation, to which I had provided very specific details for a custom build, we both found a price that we were satisfied with. I knew no other bike shop would have done that for me. Trust me I checked before going to The Bicycle Doctor. I should have saved myself the time and gone directly to them first. If you are in the market for a new bike or need some work done, stop by and see these folks. They redefine the bike shop experience and more shops should take note. Consider myself a lifetime customer.
The bicycle doctor is one of the best shops in town. You couldn't find a shop that is more willing to work with the customer. They pride themselves on doing the best quality work on your bike and will try and meet any reasonable requests. Give them a try I would bet you become a regular.
Not. Happy. At. All. I am not a hardcore bicyclist. I have probably 250-300 miles combined over several years of riding my IBex street bike. But I do have about ten years of storage and a few rides on the Silver Comet Trail on it. My rides are typically about 30-40 miles and I do a few a year so very little mileage on the bike, but I cannot afford a flat tire on such a long ride so I decided to get a tuneup this year just to be sure my bike was safe for a long ride. So I brought it into the Bike Doctor several months ago. I had done some research online and I boiled it down to the Bike Doctor, Atlanta Cycle, and Cycleworks. I went with Bike Doctor because of proximity to my house. I told the intake manager (he was by far the oldest guy in the shop so I figured he was the manager) I just needed a quick tuneup and needed the tape on the handlebars replaced because of damage from moving. I told him I was a novice and didn't need a whole lot done on the bike. I was frankly shocked when he came back with the quote of approx $180.00 to "tune up" a bike with very few miles on it that cost me a tick under $600.00 new. It really didn't hit me until I was driving away just how much I was being charged. But I'd already left and really didn't know what value I was getting because I"m not a seasoned rider. So I trusted this guy not to gouge me. Well, I was so bothered by the price that I didn't make it a priority to pick up the bike until about two weeks ago. When I went to get it another, younger, guy helped me during checkout. I noticed my bike was in the middle of the shop and the tires were flat. I took a look at what was done and told the young guy I felt taken advantage of with the bike. He was very sympathetic. I told him I would pay for the tuneup even though I felt like I was overypaying. I showed him that I still had original tires and brake pads on the bike and that it had no damage to it whatsoever. I had driven my Vette to pay for the bike and told the young man I'd be back with my Hyundai to pick up the bike later. When I came back about 30 minutes later with my bike rack, the intake guy came over to me and said the owner was aware I wasn't happy. He then proceeded to look at the work order and in a questioning voice challenge me that I had gotten what I'd paid for. I snapped back at him that I didn't say there was a discrepancy in what I was quoted and what I paid. I told him I thought I was overcharged for what appeared to be minimal work. He kept questioning me and I finally stopped walking out and looked at him and told him I didn't like his questioning me. He would not shut up. So I stopped again and looked at him and said "sometimes you just need to shut your mouth." Finally, he stopped blaming me and he shut up. He did NOTHING to make me happy, but rather questioned why I was questioning the work. So I came home with a bike that cost me $180.00 to "tune up" and add about 3 bucks worth of tape and went to pump up my front tire. GUESS WHAT? The valve stem popped right off when I started to pump up the tire. This was exactly the reason I brought the bike in originally. I didn't want a malfunction when I was on the trail. The stem apparently was worn out from age. So I had to go purchase a new tube and install it. If Bike Doctor had done me the courtesy of filling my tires in the 30 minutes I'd taken to get my other car (I'd already paid for the repair) then they'd have noticed a faulty valve stem. Oh well, I fixed it myself. What was I expecting for $180.00 anyway? Not. Happy. At. All.
Very nice staff with fantastic customer service.
Hands down the best service in Georgia!! There are 4 shops within 5 minutes of my house, and after trying the other shops, I drive 25 minutes just to get to The Bicycle Doctor. Their customer service is impeccable and their knowledge is unmatched. Save yourself the time, effort, and money, and go straight to the Bicycle Doctor!
