So I want to say these guys ROCK! I as a costumer should check my order befor I walk out. I chose not to. Ordered Rangoon’s (8). Came back and told the man at the front that I needed Rangoon’s and I was going to pay for them. He admitted he forgot. I love that. Then he gave me some extra on the house.👍🏻👍🏻 I will be a repeat customer for sure! 12/02/17.

No sesame on sesame chicken, very poor meat quality little there was. No crab, real or imitation in crab Rangoon's. All cream cheese.

Their shrimp egg rolls, potstickers, and crab rangoon are the best in Iowa City.

I have never seen a place wreck such a basic dish as General Tso's Chicken so irrevocably. The over-steamed broccoli, the mushy breading? Fine. Both are common casualties of the careless chef. But the unconscionably mis-flavored sauce? No excuse. Is that green pepper, I taste? And corn syrup? What is this?

Such a good place to grab some quick lunch if you live on the East Side. Their lunch specials for under $5 seriously can't be beat! I usually call ahead for take out and it's so quick- always ready within 10 min! The lady who is always there, whom I assume is the owner, is always nice and deserves a tip every time- it always puts a smile on her face

Best Chinese food in Iowa City! I go here often.
I'm shocked to see ANY 1 star reviews!
The only problems I EVER have is the breakdown in communication due to the thick accent and misunderstanding. The food is by far the best Chinese I've had in Iowa City!

I will never eat here again!!!!!!! They served me raw, bloody, chicken wings once about 2 months ago. I believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, so I went again and they gave me raw, bloody, chicken wings again. I am a picky eater and I never bite chicken, I like to tear it and when I tore the meat apart, it bubbled with blood. I was so disgusted. I didn't fight or argue about the $8.00 meal. I'm just never going back and I think everyone should know. If I could leave no stars I would.

If you're thinking about ordering here, I recommend to get carry out. The roast pork mei fun, fried dumplings, and crab rangoons are the best from here. What I don't recommend is eating in and the egg rolls are terrible. My husband gets the Americanized Chinese food- the mongolian beef and general tso's chicken- and he feels its the best he's had around. As for the previous comments about how dirty the place is- if you've ever been to an authentic Chinese restaurant with linoleum floors, like in any Chinatown across the US, the lack of cleanliness of this place shouldn't surprise you. I say as long you don't get sick, then it's safe/clean enough. I would've given more stars if I didn't just get my food, did the calculations, and realize they slightly overcharged me. Also, they are very brief on the phone- they don't tell you how long or how much you owe.

Needless to say, this is the only place I've consistently ordered Chinese food from in the past 3 years, outside of the local grocery store (HyVee). That roast pork mei fun is just THAT good!

Used to be not so bad. I don't know what has changed but I tried the online ordering they offer and added specific turn by turn instructions to get to my house since it's tricky to find. It took them over an hour before I called and they said it was just now leaving the door. When the delivery boy showed up he came the wrong way down a one way. Completely disregarded the delivery instructions and when I told him it was the wrong way he told me "euh. It doesn't matter". Last time I will be ordering from this place.Taste of China I may have to.pick up. But 15 minutes and my food is ready. And customer service isn't so careless.
