  I have been shopping at Belletete's since retiring in 1995 for many many items including substantial home improvement materials and feel very well served. For example, I had a problem with an expensive Andersen screen combo storm door I found difficult to switch seasonally and they came out for several seasons to do it for me and gave me a substantial credit when a better designed combo door became available.

  sub standard lumber yard ,employees are nice ownership is mean spirited and disregards its neighbors private rights to their properties, they damage the environment and they break the rules in every way but the fix is in when it comes to town officials
  board members are relatives , longtime Friends and 50+ yr school chums

  I was in last weekend ,I needed to ask some questions on the metal roofing for my barn that I plan on doing the end of the month , the guy working in the lumber whom I have seen there several times was short with me and didn't really give me much information without prying it from him ,he really wasn't much help, then all of a sudden the phone rang and he raced to answer it ,at the same time a co-worker arrived and the helpless man said to him they need help , I am glad it happened cause I felt more comfortable with the other co-worker whose name I saw on his shirt which was Aaron ,he was very helpful and offered the assistance I needed without prying it out of him , I think the other guy may need to retire he's more concerned in answering the phone than helping someone in front of him ,didn't get his name but he is tall, thin, and wears glasses , I hope a manager will speak to him about his demeanor, how he treats people is not cool ,I am purchasing the metal roofing but I am going to the Jaffery store so I don't get him again

  They built a beautiful deck with a ramp
  And I love it
  Next I need two benches and a square table with a built in lazy susan..
  But I'm doing with 2 lawn chairs n one old chair

  Belletetes, a family run business that has been in Jaffrey forever, is the antidote to the big - box lumber and hardware chains. Great selection at affordable prices and a very extensive lumber ysrd. Highly recommended.
