There is a reason BLG has been voted Best Italian food in the Twin Cities with dishes like the 'Nduja Egg Raviolo. It grabs a hold of your taste buds and doesn't let go until every bit is gone.

With a menu of antipasti, bruschetta, and pasta (in half or full portions), Bar la Grassa offers top notch food in a more casual atmosphere with a lively crowd every night of the week.

Watch out for Punchy. He's inside the glass ball light fixtures. Waiting. Watching.

Voted Best Italian Restaurant by City Pages in 2012! Chef Issac Baker, a James Beard Award winner, has an incredible knack for knowing just what to do with noodles of every shape.

Order: No matter what the season, customers love the gnocchi with cauliflower and orange. We'd suggest ordering the crab ravioli, too.

Sit at the bar and ask for "the Kid" bartender. He also owns the Blue Peg clothing store at 50th & France!

Try the gnocchi with cauliflower and orange -- separately, each ingredient is flavorful, but together they elevate the entire dish to a level worthy of applause.

Bruschetta with Soft Eggs and Lobster ($13) transcends breakfast -- it's got an earthy, herby flavor contributed in part by chives and truffle oil.
