Great time with the family. Seating is a little confusing. It was first come style and you could tell people were getting frustrated. The wine was good. The cab and the red blend were our drinks of choice and they paired well with the chocolate they had there. The bar tenders were all very nice. Emily was a huge help! The atmosphere was really nice with local art work on the walls. The parking was not organized. You had to just pull off on the side of the path but its not a mall, so i understand. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience and I would recommend this place to anyone. The wines each have distinct tastes and bodies, which hasn't always been the case with the wineries we've visited over the years. In addition to the quality of the wines, Emily Billings really set the tone for our experience with her knowledge of the wines and her fun way of talking about them. We had, unfortunately, experienced the opposite with the girls who did our tasting the day before at Grandfather Mountain Winery. It really makes a difference when the people helping you really care about what they're doing and Emily was totally personable and pro:) Thank you for a most wonderful experience that will have us coming back for a visit the next time we're in the area! Extra props to winemaker David Craig for some truly delightful wines and to musician Dillon Cable for providing the perfect acoustic soundtrack for our visit:)

I can’t even begin to describe how this winery assisted in giving us one of the best vacations we’ve had in a long time. Collectively, we’ve been to a lot of wineries and taste testings. Never before have we felt the staff connect with us so genuinely. The wine was so delicious that we bought every bottle from the tasting. We were wary about visiting some place new, but we found a haven here at Banner Elk Winery thanks to Emily, Lisa, Kali, Jansen and Stephen. We hope to visit again.

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to the winery. We did the wine tasting, and were surprised by the variety (and sweetness) of the offerings. If you're rolling through the area, we'd recommend stopping in.

My husband and I traveled several hours to get to this vineyard. The website showed it as an inviting experience with wine tastings. We arrived on a Wednesday about 2:00PM. We walked into the shop their were two woman working with two different couples at the bar. One couple sitting over at a table, other than that the place was empty! We were never welcomed, worst yet we were never even acknowledged. They both totally ignored us. We have been to many winery tastings before an they have always been friendly and inviting experiences. Don't waste your time on this place. There are so many others to visit that actually value their customers!

The Ladies at Banner Elk Winery
I am a firm believer that any wine is better with good company and a good ambiance. The ladies at Banner Elk Winery were so friendly and knowledgeable that the wine is elevated to a level commensurate with the best. If you are in the area and you don't visit one of life's best experiences will pass you by!!!

Wowwhat an amazing experience. I had my wedding at the winery this past memorial day weekend. Terri, who manages the villa, went above and beyond to make this event spectacular for us. From our pre-planning stage to checking out we could not have been treated better. The location was great and the views made for awesome pictures. We also were able to enjoy the winery daily. The winery provided a great place for our friends to visit and mingle before the ceremony. Also the wine was great! We look forward to our next visit.

Wonderful 2 nights here. Staff super freindly; helpful and knowledgable. Convenient to other places for dinner or a massage. Would have been perfect had there been a full breakfast instead of the continental provided.

Very nice tasting room, somewhat crowded on a Sunday in August. Nice pours, knowledgeable staff. Beautiful outdoor setting to enjoy a glass of wine. Most of the wines produced here are sweet, the drier vintages are grown elsewhere, since they are in the mountains. A solid experience.

By far, the finest winery in the region! The wines were fabulous and the service and knowledge of the server were top notch. The tasting fee ($10) was a bit high but every pour was ample and sufficient to experience and appreciate each of their wines. All of their wines are very distinctive and have unique character and flavors that really show off the grapes, their blending, and the skill and knowledge of their wine maker. We visited a few other wineries in the same area but none of them begin to measure up to any of the wines produced at the Banner Elk Winery.
