I was sent an email today from Natalie Bahan asking me to give her a review so
After a woman had threatened my daughter then stalked her at school and the courts recommended me getting a lawyer to file a cpo, my mother and I hired Natalie. Natalie assured us that it would be a piece of cake to obtain a cpo and advised that my mother should be the one to file the cpo because my relationship to the defendant could make it seem like retaliation. My mom paid her $1500. We gave her names of the school faculty who had witnessed the stalking at school and then A month later Natalie contacted my mother asking for the voice recording of the threats. I had it in my possession and took it to her office. I sat in the waiting room for 15 minutes, gave the device to Natalie , and left. Was actually with Natalie for less than 2 minutes. She called a week later after reviewing the recording to go over some questions which took no more than about 20 minutes. We didn't hear from her again for 2 months when she called to tell my mom she wouldn't recommend getting a cpo. There wasn't enough to warrant it. My mom insisted that we at least try and she refused. Natalie said she would refund the money. Ok no big deal we'll take the money and go to another lawyer. She called my mom to pick up the check except it was for $400. When my mom questioned she claimed to have done more work than she had done. My mom asked for an itemized bill where she claimed to have called a victims advocate about a dozen times but the victims advocate she claimed to have spoken to was no longer employed and hadn't been for months prior to the alleged phone calls. She grossly exaggerated the times of the phone calls she had with me and my mom and the office visit where I dropped off the voice recorder. My mom demanded the full refund and Natalie refused. My mother took her to small claims court. My mom represented herself and won against Natalie Bahan! That should tell you how great of a lawyer she is right there.

Terrible experience. Do not use her for criminal law. I paid close to a grand and could have represented myself better , honestly. She is so money hungry it's disgusting . She had me plead right away , never tried to get me a deal ect. I had never even had a speeding ticket before this . The charge was a argument between my husband and I . Nothing physical ect ..I wish I would have used a public defender honestly .She also got involved in a probate case that would have last a week after my husband had chilled out . Instead she had took it upon herself to keep continuing it . Then did not show up . So it lasted over a month. She smoked her vap in the court house which is super unprofessional. And when the prosecutor offered me a deal , she had to look it up on Google to see if the crime she wanted me to plead to was something I had done the night I was charged , and then tried to convince me that by his statement I was , even though the police report was full of lies and deception. A lawyer is supposed to work for you not against you . The probate judge was so pissed that she had let me know who to contact with state for such craziness this lady pulled .. If she knew the law she wouldn't have butted into and filed things she wasn't even aloud to file on my part .. And btw I will not contact the office with my problems . Obviously u were no help before so why would I try now . Refunding my grand would be a start .. And props to Shelley.. I'm pretty sure she does most of the work there ..

Absolutely horrible!! She was completely unprepared going to a Magistrate hearing to lower child support. Since I had made $15,400 less in income that year. I had took her pay stubs, court documents and other information from my employer. I did a lot of work to help her with my case. She didn't bring any of it. When asked by the Magistrate to see the pay stubs she frantically text her secretary to send them to her because she didn't bring them. Magistrate didn't care to see them when she did receive them near the end of the hearing. She had even filed an extension to give her more time to prepare. This just buried me in child support arranges to pay my ex that lived 4 hours away and left our son with her Mom and Stepdad. After her very poor performance I decided I would not have her represent me to get custody of my son. I asked for my money back. It took her over 2 months to pay me back for services I wasn't going to have her do and then I didn't even get half my money back. I paid $4,000 to go for custody. That money I had to borrow because child support was so high and I wasn't making as much. All she did was one magistrate hearing on support not custody. Natilie's price went up $100 each time I talked to her. She charged me $100 for the FREE consolation. She charged me $400 for the court papers I had printed off at the courthouse and taken to her. In the end I couldn't afford another attorney because of this. So I represented myself and won custody of my son myself. If I could give her a negative star I would. One star is too much. My friend also fired her for the same reasons. Very unprepared and just talks you into circles all while doing nothing. My advise is seek any other attorney. I did it on my own but my case was pretty easy. Not sure if these other people on this review thing were paid or if they are fake and made up. I do know me and my friend both had a horrible experience hiring Natilie. Hopefully this helps save people from wasting a lot time and money.
