Great atmosphere. Good service. Would have given 5 stars except their coffee beans are slightly over priced.
I have been a long time coffee lover and prefer the best quality. Coffee is one of those things I consider to be "my specialties" as a local guide and customer.
Back Alley Coffee has been one of the top notch coffee stops for quality, price, service, and (most importantly) consistency. Environment is very welcoming and the staff is beyond friendly. Their revolutionary Nitro Cold Brew will amaze the palates of both beer-lovers and coffee-lovers.
They were recently bought out and will have several exciting changes like renaming to "Black and White Coffee Roasters."
I love this place, but part of the experience was the pour over slow bar. It's automated now. Even if it tastes better, half the reason I came was to experience a local hand made coffee. That sounds pretentious, but come on. They were super cool people. Now they just push a button and still charge $4 for a cup of coffee.
Coffee shop perfection. Great coffee, mellow crowd. Outdoor seating. Not pretentious. Only sorry it's so far from me!
By now I've tried almost everything on the menu. It's all wonderful. The nitro hopped cold brew is an awesome and unique twist on they're already perfect nitro cold brew. The vanilla n cream is a great sweet spin on the cold brew. And every coffee bean here is more than worth the money. It's one of my favorite roasters in the world.
This place never disappoints! The coffee is always hot (or cold if you prefer) and fresh. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your entire experience is a great one. Plus, you can't beat the sweet treats and the very reliable and fast WiFi.
I can't have caffeine but was still able to enjoy delicious tea and a slice of blueberry lemon cake they were selling from a local bakery. Always very informative. I went with two young children who also enjoyed it
Back Alley had become one of my favorite roasters in Eastern NC, and I love that they are in Wake Forest. The owner, Tracey McKenzie, is the nicest guy and a coffee fanatic, and the shop and staff reflect that. They have fantastic nitro cold brew, and do amazing specially coffee drinks like their Cold Fashioned. One of my favorite shops in the Triangle area.
Top notch pour overy coffee and espresso. Everything is roasted in the building and you can choose from like 7 different blends. Nice people! Good coffee!
A "great coffee shop" is an understatement. The customer service, types of coffee, and overall atmosphere lead Back Alley to be at the top of my list of favorite coffee shops. I didn't know I could drink coffee black before coming here:)
This small coffee shop is quaint and provides a nice environment to study, chat, or simply enjoy a quality pour-over for a while. The staff is friendly and the coffee I've had has been more than acceptable. If you ever decide to give this gem a try, I recommend the Konga. It's one of my favorites that they carry and it a good drink to start out with.
This place is great! Staff is friendly, store is clean, atmosphere is welcoming, coffee tastes great. Ended up buying a bunch for family as well and they all loved it too. Location is a little bit cramped but not unbearable. Make sure you check out their online store also, they deliver promptly with great customer service. Great job! Highly recommend!
An excellent destination spot in the historic section of Wake Forest. The staff is extremely kind, humble, and professional. I mentioned to them that I am home roaster and espresso hobbyist, and they were kind enough to drop what they were doing and give an impromptu tour of the roasting facility. Their coffee can hang with the best in the RDU area. Very very, impressed and strong encouragement to stop in if you are a coffee buff.
