Mario was polite and professional. He did an excellent job. Real person answered the phone even after hours and she was also polite and called us back promptly to inform us that a technician was on his way. Very pleased with everything.
Josh and Brennan arrived earlier than expected but they called first to make sure it was fine. They did a great job cleaning up my ducts. They were here for 4 hrs did a wonderful job and cleaned things up nicely. I couldn't be happier with how they explained things before getting started and showing me the before and after pictures. They professionalism was over and above. Great job guys keep up the great work. I will definitely call them again with any issues I may have so reliable.

Guy showed up, I told him the furnace was blowing fuses. He asked me to put in s new fuse, I did, it blew, he said your blower motor is bad. That will be $700+ for the repair and an additional $75 for the service call. Didn't look at the motor, didn't test anything. I asked him to verify the motor was bad. He said no need. I asked him how he knows the cost without looking at what kind of motor I have. He said it is a flat rate. I said no thanks. Paid him the $75 service call and went to Johnstone supply and bought a motor for $150 and changed it myself in 15 minutes. What a total scam.
Called them to install a new water heater. They came the next morning. I felt bad for the technician because my water heater is located in the garage and it was 1 degree outside. He didn't complain and explained why my water heater of 5 years probably died. I was never informed by the previous installers that in a closed water system you needed a pressure tank to handle the thermal backflow. In fact I never heard of it and told installer that I would Google it. He was right. The job he did was great. I would recommend this company to anyone. By the way the installers name was Salud. He was very courteous, polite and informative. Thank you again Axberg for a job well done.
My experience with Axberg what's a very pleasant one. Very professional clean courteous and informational. Representative was very punctual for my time appointed. Totally over priced. Wanted to charge me for a part that was covered under warranty and then wanted to charge double to put in the part compared to what I was able to have someone else do it for. No longer family owned in Rockford, run by some out of town company now.
Just had a plumber come out and explained since our toilet was leaking despite the wax rings we went through my husband cut out the pipe that ran all the way from the toilet flange which was so old and rusted to the main as well as the bathroom sink connected to it, we purchased all the pipe,elbows and sleeves we would need but just couldn't get back into place at the main line which is why we called a plumber. All we should have to pay for is the labor but instead said he had everything in his truck and it would cost us $975.00. I don't think so. Since when do plumbers charge hundreds of dollars an hour to get a price like that at best most plumbers we've had only charge $150 an hour. What a waste of our $80.00 fee to come here for that.
If I can give zero stars I would. Worlds worst company in regards to not keeping to their schedule. If you have an A/C emergency call someone else, as you'll probably die before they get there. They think it's ok to not notify you that they are running 2 hours behind after you've been waiting for your appointment window, only to have to reschedule the following day, and then they think it's ok to show up to your house 3 hours prior to your appointment window when your not home. Then when you tell them to stick to the original time window that was requested, they will call you to say they are on their way and then retract their statement and say oops. "I mean the guy is going to be 2 hours late". What a crock company. This cannot be made up people.
Love the 24 emergency service if needed. Live person always answer if I call.
I did not find out until afterwards that Black Diamond and Axberg are now together since the Axberg family retired! So my review for Black Diamond is the same as i am putting here for Axberg! Great service!!!
I've used Black Diamond for three different services in the past five months. The first time was when my furnace took a dive on me. Ryan Geraty was out very late to take a look at it. Turns out my furnace was almost 40 years old (original to the house). He explained the costs of repairing it versus possible replacement costs. Once my wife and I decided to, and got the green light from our home warranty company, we set up a date and time on MY schedule. They covered the floors, their boots, and made sure everything was super clean when they finished installing the furnace and a/c. Dave, who installed my furnace also showed me the ducting and how disgusting it was with dust. It probably was NEVER cleaned before. He also explained the financial impact if that dust got swallowed up into the furnace as most manufacturers do not honor that as "normal wear and tear".
I scheduled a duct cleaning on the following Saturday, and the guys were in and out in a couple hours, but you can notice an immediate difference in air quality. Also, the amount of crud they sucked out of my vents was insane!
The last call was for water leaking all over my laundry room. My ejector pump was failing as it ran intermittently. Jimmy, the plumber, took the time to check every possible cause of the flooding, and deduced it down to a few issues. One of which was the inefficiency of the ejector pump. The pump, again, was original to the house (seriously, I don't think they did ANYTHING to this place except the pressure tank). I am happy and confident that this pump will not fail and is SUPER quiet. I appreciated the time and honesty that Jimmy gave, as I trusted his judgement.

I have been a customer of Axberg Heating for over 20 years. They have serviced my furnace and air conditioner. I also purchased a new air conditioning unit from Black Diamond. Their service has been awesome until recently. I scheduled a cleaning and waited 3 weeks for a service appointment. I had to take off work for the appointment. The appointment was cancelled today and I was told I would have to wait a full month for the next cleaning service. I was also having some issues with my furnace. Very disappointing.
Called these clowns about needing my furnace serviced due to a occasional failure to light the burners. They asked if i was in an emergency call. I said no (I'm not stupid enough to play that game). They said the soonest they could get someone to look at my furnace would be December 7th. Thats 3 weeks away. Their reply: If you need one of our service technicians to visit sooner, we can arrange an emergency visit. SCREW YOU. The next company i called said they could inspect my furnace in 2 HOURS. Perfect. 1 hour after arrival i was ready for winter.
I am disappointed and feel like their service people are also tasked with trying to sell new. During a recent furnace cleaning, I was told that the heat exchanger was putting carbon dioxide into our house and the danger is that possibly some day wouldn't wake up. He said the life of our furnace was 12 years approx. But he could recommend a new furnace at 0% interest. So we had a second opinion HVAC contractor come in and there was NO carbon dioxide being expelled and the life of our furnace was 16-18 years. Caution, I will not use them again because I feel they are using a scare tactic to sell new products. I also had them install a new sump pump and I wished I would have had a second opinion on that but didn't and they installed a $2,000 sump pump system. Live and learn.
