Absolutely awful the kids carry firearms and hazards weapons and very disrespectful a lot kids get bullied around here as well I don't recommend this a nice school one time there was the kid name Steve he held a firearm to my torso in 2009 he said if I didn't give him money he will use his firearm
i loVe it, ,my fAVVVVVV.. i love being smelled by teachers, and punching my friends for a chicken nugget. "you dont even go here" yes. i dont. love ya babes.
I love the school great teachers wonderful services no reason to dislike it
Pretty sweet campus, great teachers and alot better than other schools I've visited throughout Indiana. They have a multitude of extracurriculars so everyone has a niche which is cool. It's a real pleasure to attend.
I've almost died at this school multiple times it is an absolute disaster every day there has to be another fight. Over the smallest of things most of the times seriously I can't even walk to my next class without witnessing some kid get punched in the face. Not only this but most of the kids I have see here has no common sense at all throwing food in the cafeteria for no reasons, tripping kids because there boarded in the hall, and blasting music. I am very happy that I dropped out of here
worst school in the world it's to crowded the teachers are a bunch of bitches and how are the students supposted to learn with 30 something kids in the class and 1 teacher. what sense does that make huh? and there was fights every damn day. I'm glad i left here I swear I would've dropped out if I stayed.
Removed my rant because I knew it was selfish of me to do that. No one would care about my life anyway, but i'll sort it out myself.
Whatever, here's my opinion from a student. We've had too many human made disasters over the course of my two years here.
Disaster #1 - Someone got mad, set toilet paper in the bathroom on fire. During freshman year, someone got angry and decided to attempt to set the school on fire. Everyone was freaking out, but everyone safely made it out alive. The conflict of this story? The student, who was told to pull down the fire alarm by a nearby teacher was called a savior even though the toilet paper burned itself out. What?
Disaster #2 - Every day, there was a huge fight in school. Monday was a disaster. There was a fight in the ALC lunch room. Tuesday, there was a fight in the lunch room over a chicken nugget? Wednesday, big fight in the gym. Thursday, another fight in the commons. Friday, another fight in the ALC. Note, The ALC is where all the "Smart" students go to. Why are they fighting?
Disaster #3 - The 6 inches of snow policy. Freshman year was a disaster with snow in 2015 - 2016. There was this one day in which the whole school had 5 1/2 inches of snow, but there wasn't a "1 hour delay" to sort it all out. Buses were late, teachers were late, and even students that drive their cars? Around 5 of them crashed on the way to school due to the crappy road condition.
My years at Avon are pretty much useless now. If you play your cards right, you maybe going into the right direction. My sister found her way into IU with Avon High School. You'll have to do something brave and bold to stick yourself out as a good person, but for now, i suggest your children to a more compact smaller school because it can sometimes be a hellfest everywhere.

Lip dubs are on point. Staff and kids are very caring. There are over 55 clubs and activities. 10/10
Somebody who gives this school a bad review probably just hates the idea of high school in general. This school has so much to offer if you take advantage of it, and gave me the ability to take 10 APs during my time here in subjects that I enjoy, so many great clubs as well and I don't know about the lower half but all of the honors students (1/4) are very nice people and outgoing in their directions, and the honors teachers do their best to set them up on the right direction.
Graduated there back in 2012. Great school. I sure miss all the great memories I had there.
