Called to ahead to set up an appointment 1 week ahead . Coming in from out of state.
Had one day to test drive and buy a car.
Salesmen did not listen to our needs . I needed a truck or a jeep for my two 70 lb dogs and wheelchair. After 8 hours at the dealership they tried to give us a truck that we the back seats could not be removed .
Had credit run deal settled and then we find out the salesmen didn't listen to anything we said needed .
Proceeded to tell us he hard he had worked and how much he saved us.
ON A TRUCK WE COULDN'T USE !
I told our salesmen "it doesn't matter how much you saved us it we can't use the truck for what we plainly told you we needed it for. "
We told them we would leave and have dinner and be back to look at a another truck or jeep.
Went back 1 hour later. Not one person was available to help or seemed interested enough to help us and told us we would have to start over again. That could take some time .
We walked out . Drove our Audi A7 home.
Lots of promises made ,not one delivered.
Had received a recall notice. Called dealer to schedule the service/recall work, was given a time and date from the service writer.
On the appointed date and time I had the car there. Was told it was a 2 hour job. 10 minutes later, one of the service writers approached me to tell me they didn't have the necessary parts to perform the recall service/work. I inquired as to why they didn't since the recall notice clearly stated parts were in and available at the dealer, and the service writer had scheduled the work 2 weeks prior. I was given no real reason as to why the parts were actually not available.
I specifically asked were there actually parts for the recall or was this a matter of "parts were SUPPOSED to be available" buy this time. Service writer stated there were indeed parts to complete the service order/recall it was just they (dealership) didn't have them. Seems to me the parts, if they weren't already in- house when the appointment was made, would have at least been procured at the time the appointment was scheduled, there was certainly enough time to acquire the parts between my initial phone call and time of scheduled appointment.
What a Mickey Mouse operation. Severely un-professional. Prime example of the left hand having no idea of what the right hand was doing. If this is how recall service is addressed, how does normally scheduled service work compare? In this day and age of multiple sources of goods and services, one would think one should be on more of their 'A game' than this. Shame on you for wasting my time and shame on you for failing to compensate me for your miscue. Dealer is out nothing but I'm going to be inconvenienced twice instead of once, thanks I really appreciate it - NOT!
Great place to buy a new car! Everyone there was very patient and helpful. And willing to help get the car I really wanted. Would definitely shop there again for me next car!
I purchased a 2007 Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited.
The bad, I mean really bad
The buying process alone took over 2 weeks as the Jeep had a dead stereo when I test drove it and needed to be replaced. I ended up purchasing an aftermarket stereo (more features/functionality than a stock radio from 2007) which they installed. That process was a nightmare and they ended up paying me $200 of the $352 that I spent. Finally, after about 2 weeks I purchased the Jeep on a Monday evening. Everything is OK. Tuesday afternoon I go to drive it and it barely cranks over but manages to start. It was late enough that I wouldn’t get to the service department until after they closed. I take the Jeep in on Tuesday morning, they run some diagnostics and tell me it needs a new battery which they pay for and install. I drive away at about 10:30 AM. At 2:30 PM I get a phone call and need to go to Kingsport. Jeep is dead. Won’t even begin to turn over. Jump it off after charging for 10-15 minutes. Immediately take it back to service Wednesday afternoon. I am told that the starter is bad and needs replacing, again at their cost. At this point I tell them that I want some kind of warranty which they tell me they can sell me for $1138 ($1 over their cost.) I am also handed a copy of their “however many point inspection” to prove that they checked all of this ,but didn’t find something as simple as a bad battery. The Jeep is supposed to be done Friday. I finally get to pick it up the following Tuesday. I go and verify that I still have time left on my money back guarantee before I pick it up from service. I am assured I do. I drive away and make a stop 4 miles later. Get back in and Jeep won’t start. Back to service I go. At this point I am done and want my money refunded to me. This begins the “why don’t you look at this over here talk.” I actually go look at a Jeep but decide it’s not for me and realize I don’t trust any of the vehicles on the lot. Go inside and tell them I just want the money back. They continue to pressure me into looking for something else so I actually say, to the sales manager, that I don’t trust what their selling. He goes in on me about this to which I respond that I’m pretty sure I don’t ever want to do business with them and I wouldn’t be ashamed to tell anyone about my experience. At this point they take me to the guy that is going to write me the check and tell me that they’re going to refund all of my money “even though they don’t have to.” A few minutes go by and I am then approached and told that I need to go wait at my car (I had a ride waiting) and I am not to talk to anyone while on their property (because I’m clearly not giving glowing reviews at this point.) This is when I am threatened and told that if I don’t do what has just been asked of me, the police will be called and they will have me arrested for trespassing and slander. So I go wait outside and am brought a refund check 20-30 minutes later. And I finally get to leave. Forever.
The sales management made me feel as though they were going to do absolutely nothing to make things right and the service department had me believing they were pretty incompetent.
The good:
They gave me my money back!!!
The sales guys are awesome. Personable and knowledgeable, as helpful as they could be, until things moved up into the management side. The people in finance and the money side were good and easy to follow throughout the process as I used a local credit union to finance.
I had called and talked to Travis earlier in the week! Told him I was looking for a vehicle and ask about the ad I had seen! I went down on Saturday morning told him what payments I was looking for! Was not ready to buy on Saturday! But these guys worked with me got the payments where I wanted to be! So I drove off in a new 2017 Dodge Journey!! I like the vehicle !!
My spirit has been renewed at AutoNation! Was treated very kindly and very sympathetically. Many thanks to Mark, the service manager and to Tonya who works in the service department. Sincerely appreciate the time they both took to listen to my concerns. All in all everything was done properly and the results were very good.
Adam greeted us warmly and with genuine interest. He listened intently to our mechanical issues and suggested proper corrective action. He fulfilled his goals of prompt and proper service. He even went above and beyond to cover my convertible while on the lot. Also, he transferred my invoice to reception so that we could conveniently pick up our car after service hours. I am happy the mechanics are paid so good. We are new in town and did not buy the car at AutoNation. But we were treated like family; the ones you actually like! Adam listened to my issues. He devised a successful and timely plan to resolve these issues. Job well done.
The dodge boys exceeded my hopes of a good and though job. Even though they were not responsible for the work they honored another dealers warranty who was out of state. They were friendly and very helpful.
For the pet lovers, they are definitely pet friendly. The coffee and waiting area makes you feel at home as your reading their positive reading material. I'm into spiritual and health food so I left there feeling full and satisfied.
We purchased two cars from AutoNation, and my father purchase one as well in the same week. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend buying from here and I would make sure I asked for salesman Rick Smith. Slam dunk AutoNation! We will definitely be purchasing from you in the future.
I went in for a recall on my vehicle at 9am Wednesday April 26th, originally told it would take about 1.5 hours, so I waited around for it to be fixed. The gentlemen who checked me in did not update the system with my information, so they had a different name listed other than mine. Around 12pm I went to the same gentleman who checked me in to receive an update on my vehicle, and was told that he would check on it and get back to me; so I went and patiently sat down for another few hours.
At 3:30 I had a ride come to get me, so I went back to the desk to let them know and to also find out any information on my truck. I found out that my vehicle had been serviced, the repair had failed, and it was just sitting outside the garage as of roughly 11am. The issue had been the name on file that never received an update. Page after page had gone out for that name, which I heard several times, but no one ever responded to them. The Service Advisor on duty stated, "I wondered why you had been sitting there so long." Which bears the question, why did you not ask me?
I sat around the building for 6.5 hours waiting for my vehicle, when it should have only been two if the name on file had only been updated. I was informed that the fix for my recall did not take, so they had to do some more investigating on my vehicle to see why. When I asked when they may be getting around to finding the issue, I was answered with "I don't know, but we'll call you with any updates." I was then sent on my way in a rental that they provided.
The next day I went in to speak with the Service Manager to just get basic information on when my vehicle may be looked at. I then found out they had already looked at it, ordered the parts, and were just awaiting they're arrival. The Service Advisor who was suppose to call me never did, and seemed quite upset when I came to speak with his supervisor.
Two weeks later, on a Friday, I was finally able to go pick my vehicle up. When I arrived the paper work had not been processed, but the Service Advisor allowed me to leave saying he'd call me tomorrow (Saturday) to come pick up my paper work. Saturday came and went, and I never received a call. I allowed Sunday to pass because everyone needs time off. Monday I called the Service Advisor twice, once leaving a message for a return call which I never received. I also called the receptionist who said she would let the same Advisor know to call me; which still no call came. Tuesday I then called the Service Manger and was forced to leave a message requesting a return call, that I have yet to receive.
Now it is Wednesday evening and I still have yet to hear from anyone. I decided to wait through my work day on Thursday before calling again or stopping by in person. So we will see how tomorrow goes.
All in all, I highly doubt that I will return to Autonation for any other business needs. I would rather take my business to another Dodge dealership.
Excellent service department, with great customer service and skilled mechanics. After having an issue with my Jeep Wrangler stump a few other mechanics, I took it down to Autonation's service department. They were very professional, and Adam, their service writer, kept me informed throughout the whole diagnostic process. They pinned down the issues and solved the problem. It was a simple, reasonable, honest, and professional experience that I would have no problem recommending to anyone. Will be going to this establishment for any future repairs for sure!
We found a used Ford Edge on Cargurus that my dad liked. We drove an hour to the dealership and test drove the vehicle. When we asked Quinton the salesman about the price he said they might negotiate some. He went inside and came back with a price of 17999. I asked if there would be a doc fee. He answered "No, that's the price except for sales tax." We decided to buy and went to the finance guy to complete the purchase. When he handed us the paperwork the price was $499 (doc fee) higher. When we questioned they just apologized for quoting the wrong price. The finance guy was very nice. When we asked about trading a vehicle, our salesman told the finance guy he had another customer, needed to get back to the lot, and didn't have time to fool with that. Had I heard that comment, we would have left immediately. We ended up purchasing the vehicle, but may take it back during their five day grace period. I consider their sales tactics "bait and switch." When I tell someone a price, I honor it. Buyer beware!!!!
Could not be Happier. My car is wonderful and arrived on time. It was such a simple process.
AutoNation is Awesome. I Highly recommend this Auto Group.
Thanks to the Internet Sales person named Steve..It was great!!!! I Thank You!!!!
