    Best rental I’ve ever had. It was super easy to book and they came and picked us up from the airport. The price was really reasonable and the car was great. We had no troubles with the agency and I would definitely recommend this place to anyone flying into DFW. I’m under 25 btw so underage rentals can be extremely expensive and this place wasn’t at all! Rent your car from here.

    Same issue, but a little worse. I rented from them in December, 2015. Just like the others, $100 deposit never refunded. Now get this, they are calling me, asking for $9.94 in unpaid tolls. I called them, asking about my deposit and he says "That's another department, I need you to pay".

    Do NOT rent from them! They actually tried to bill more from my credit card without my authorization.

    it seems these guys also known as "rentacaroftexas" since they share same address.had a one day rental on 17th july(2200 WEST 32ND STREET UNIT 61-3033, DALLAS, TX 75261 USA)
    & they charged me $150 refundable deposit.
    it's been a month & i still don't see any refund.
    i tried to contact them by filling a form on their website & when i entered all the details & click submit, it just doesn't do anything,just shows up the same page.
    i called them multiple times & they forward me to billing department & WHICH ALWAYS GOES TO VOICE MAIL & I LEAVE VOICEMAIL & NOTHING AFTER THAT.
    I GUESS I HAVE TO DEAL THIS WITH MY CREDIT CARD COMPANY NOW.
    PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    WARNING! SCAM! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT!!!

    If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences of my life. For starters, I found this company through Kayak's website. It listed it as Rentacar of Texas, and the price was cheaper than anybody else's so I gave it a shot. I should have known when something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

    I proceeded with pre-paying for my rental car about a month before our trip. A few week's later, they took a $150 deposit. Okay, so far so good pretty normal stuff. When we arrived at the DFW airport, I never received a text or phone call about pickup. I finally had to call the company directly and after being transferred multiple times, we finally were able to get a text from the driver that he was on his way. He showed up in an older SUV with no kind of markings whatsoever to indicate that he was with the Rental car company.

    It was at this point, that I found out the company was actually called Ausby Car Rentals and not Rentacar of Texas. I don't know if these are the same company or what the deal is. Mind you this is my first time ever in the Dallas area, so I was very skeptical, but proceeded since I had no other option really. We get in the car with the guy, and he tells us that we are going to a hotel. Turns out they don't even have an office near the airport, but the business is run out of the hotel, which was really sketchy to me. We get to the hotel, and our rental car is there and it looked to be okay. We go inside and fill out the paperwork, everything seems OK still.

    We returned the vehicle back to the hotel on June 28th. No damage, half tank of gas, everything was alright. I expected to have my deposit back in a week or so. The 4th of July holiday was the next week so I was patient to allow for possible delays. Finally after another week of waiting with no refund or emails, I call the company. This is where things get really confusing. The phone number sometimes will ring RentaCar of Texas, but other times Ausby Car Rental.

    They will give you the total runaround to try and get you off the phone. Transferring you to the "Accounting department" never gets a real person on the end. They send you to a voicemail and noone will ever call you back. I called this company probably 10 times over the span of a couple weeks, and kept getting excuse after excuse of why I hadn't received my deposit back. "The holidays delayed things" "They are waiting on the tolls to come back from the state" "Their systems were down" etc.

    Not only did I not get the deposit back, but I never even got the confirmation email they supposedly sent multiple times showing that I would receive it back. I spoke with the guy last thursday and he said I would get the email confirmation by close of business Friday. I waited all weekend, and still no email or deposit showing back. I call again on Monday and he says for sure I will see it by the end of the day, still nothing. I call back today, and he places me on hold for 15 minutes, then transfers me to the non-existent accounting department again.

    I finally decided enough is enough, and I broke down and called my credit card company to dispute the transaction.

    PLEASE do not do business with Ausby Car Rental or RentaCar of Texas, they are running a scam!! They will steal your deposit. It is not worth saving the few extra dollars. I really hope enough of these reviews will get them shut down!!!!!

    DO NOT RENT WITH THESE GUYS. Car received with 1/4 tank of gas. Tried to jip me out of $10 for 2 gallons of gas saying it was returned with less than that (it wasn't). Then they never refunded my security deposit after promising to do so for a month. I had to go through my credit card company and dispute the charge to get my money back.

    Update: I finally got my money back. You have to report this company's abuse to the car reservation website you used. This is their revenue stream, so they care! Once I complained to the car reservation website, ASAP/Ausby was very eager to resolve my complaint.

    Same issue here. They stole my deposit. I rented back in September. After two weeks I reported this to my AAdvantage Amex credit card. I initially got the money refunded, but then the CC company rescinded my dispute! I was extremely upset at my CC company (thought they had my back), and asked them to reopen my dispute. Still waiting to get this resolved 6 months later! This car company also goes by asap car rental. Do not use then. Ez rent a car is $5 more and at the airport rental center.

    PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS! They refuse to refund the $200 deposit they put on our credit card without our knowledge. I have been fighting to get our money back for 2-1/2 months. THEY ARE SCAMMERS!

    BE AWARE! We are out $450 for a trailer rental deposit through an RV website that ended up with Ausby Car Rental and services were never provided. There is no answer to phones and only answering machine.

    Please be warned!!! do not use this rental company, they are FRAUDULENT. i was advised not to use them but didnt listen and still went ahead and now they have taken my money and it seems like only one person works there and now they wont pick up the phone. He is a very rude and impatient person and if i could rate this a negative 10 i would. I have never experienced such a service in my life and i am a very patient person. I am so furious because i could have avoided this and still kept my money
