Pictures speak a thousand words so I'll let them help you make your decision. Greens were terrible and for the most part unplayable. We played on 11/17/17 (Friday) and we were 2 of 3 players in the morning. You drive through a cart graveyard at the turn, there was digging all over the course from old sprinkler systems I guess. The carts are extremely outdated. Definitely won't be coming back to this course. Not worth the $40 cost to play 18. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

I really like this course. Probably has something to do with playing my best game ever here. Always see some intersting wildlife. Last time I saw a Pileated woodpecker

Played here couple weeks ago and I so disappointed to see how much the place has gone downhill. I used to play here all the time 10+ yrs ago and it was a very nice course. Will not play here anymore unless they make some drastic changes to the care and upkeep of the course.

If I could give a negative review I would. Horrible treatment by the manager/course pro. Greens were unplayable and course was in terrible shape. After first hole we knew this course was not worth the $80 and when we requested a refund the man in charge wouldn't give us one and said that it was because they gave us a student discount (which was only $6). There were no signs or anything noted about this policy and we feel extremely ripped off. Ridiculous. Not too worried about them getting our $60 because the flaws of their business will show when the course goes under.

Played this course over the weekend and I have to say it's a shame that the Links is still in this bad of a condition. Five years ago this was the 2nd best public course in the Auburn/Opelika area behind Grand National. Now there are weeds growing in the fairways and 2/3 of the greens are completely unplayable. The clubhouse is a joke with essentially zero food/beverage amenities. All of this could be looked over if they had dropped the price to match the quality, however you're still getting charged $40+ to ride 18 on the weekend. The layout and location has plenty of potential but management obviously does not have the resources to turn this course around. Do yourself a favor and drive down the road to either RTJ or Indian Pines.

Do not play this course. The conditions are awful and they charged $35. I actually called a week before I played and explained that I was bringing a foursome from 500 miles away and I needed them to be honest with me and tell me the conditions of the course. I was told that it was in good shape and all the greens had recovered and were nice and there were two that were still recovering but would be fine by the weekend. Total lie. There was one decent green on the entire course and it was 18. The other 17 were nothing but dirt. I really don't know how the place is still in business, the carts were awful, with broken windshields and bald tires and could barely make it up the hills. I love the layout of the course, but it has had absolutely nothing put into it and I can't believe it is still open. Somebody needs to buy this course with the finances to bring it back, as Auburn really needs another public course and this is in a perfect location. I would have been fine if the gentleman I talked to when I made the tee time had said, we are still not in the best of shape, you should probably catch us later. I told him I didn't want to bring my buddies that far and play a bad course and have them upset with me. It's worse than a bad course, it's a cow pasture. Worse than that, we teed off at 8:30 on a Sunday morning, and the only people on the course (total of 6) were our foursome and the twosome in front of us. They held us up the entire day and never even acted like we were there. It took us 4 1/12 hours to play because of them. Do not waste your money, and do not play this "golf course". It's awful and they will tell you what you want to hear to get your money. I only hit the one star because there is not a zero.

Course is in bad shape. Granted we tried to play after a rain storm but the sand traps were full of water, no tee boxes had a place to tee your ball that wasn't muddy - the first green barely had grass - and on and on.
Starter said this is the third year in a row the grounds crew screwed up the winter care and messed up the course.
All that and they refused a refund for someone from out of town and gave me a rain check for the back 9. Are u kidding me? You took my money and nobody had the courtesy of telling us how bad the course condition was?? When am I coming back to play a back 9?
It's cheap ($40 for an adult round) - I'd spend my money elsewhere.response / report this review -

They have some bargain prices now. Very good value. Greens were rough in spring but have come around nicely. If looking for a nice, inexpensive way to swing club try their twilight specials at 1 dollar a hole. Cant beat it.

Love this course! Might be a tad overpriced. Offer a fair amount of specials. Always enjoy the challenge.
