Wonderful Church.
Love this Church! Real people showing God's love!
I have been going to Arrowwood church for 21 years. I never really got serious with God until 3 years ago under the ministry of Pastor Daniel Godfrey, It seemed as if though every thing that i had been reading and studying was seeming so real. As i got closer to the Lord and more involved with the church people and Pastor Daniel, the Spirit of God just begin to blossom, not a lot were getting saved and Baptize but the love and sweet Spirit of God is awesome. We had several revivals, But the last one we had was called a Prayer Revival. It seem to just set the church on fire for God, Our church is booming with God's Spirit. We have just finished a new children's church,The leaders ask for $20,000 for the Christmas offering and the people gave $26,000,we share $4,000 dollars a year for Benevolence.$5,000 for Home mission,we stay around $5,000 over our budget all year. Some of us help sponsor and are active in the Good News club for the children at the local Grammar school which we spend $900 a month for their treats plus 8 people are giving their time teaching the children about Christ and how to pray. I could go on and on how God is blessing us and how God's Spirit is moving in our members, These are not rich people they are hard working people, some are farmers and construction workers, mechanics, carpenters, and just common everyday labors. Pastor Daniel has just started teaching and preaching on making Disciples. And the people are ready for it and so am i. It seems that the timing of it all is perfect. I am not saying we are perfect by no means, because God is really working and blessing our lives, and the lives of others.
What a privilege and joy it is to serve as the Pastor of Arrowwood Baptist Church. I am excited and thankful for the great things God is doing in and through our church as we seek to Know Him and Share Him. I am especially excited about our theme for 2014: Everyone Discipling. Making Disciples is what Jesus commanded His followers to do in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20). Sadly, many of His followers today are failing to obey this command. In Luke 6:46, Jesus said, “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?" If Jesus is your Lord, you will be striving to make disciples.
