We have stayed at the Arrowhead twice this year, and both visits were excellent! The owners, Phil and Gloria were there for our first visit and they were perfect hosts, welcoming and gregarious, talking fondly of the history of the beautiful inn. The rooms were pretty much perfect and the food was delicious.
The Arrowhead is just about halfway between our two homes, and it will be our go-to residence when traveling.

We stayed at the Arrowhead Inn B&B as a romantic early holiday treat together. We stayed in the Benson room. The room was absolutely beautiful with a large tub and rainforest shower. The gas fireplace was right next to the tub, making a long soak so much better in such cool weather. They were also extremely accommodating with a noise machine for my husband's tinnitus. The antipasta plate we ordered was absolutely delicious and they had it ready by the time we arrived. Everything about our stay was amazing and felt very personalized. We look forward to staying here again!

We were greeted warmly by Gloria, the Inn keeper who immediately put us at ease with her friendly demeanor and welcoming personality. The plantation home is a beautiful restoration of American history. It was quiet and peaceful and has a warm and inviting ambiance. We stayed in a room upstairs that was quiet and spacious. The king size bed was comfortable. The bathroom is small with very little counter space so be prepared to pack accordingly, you won't want to bring a lot of items that take too much space. We were able to select a movie to watch in our room from an expansive collection. The breakfast which was prepared by Gloria's husband was a gourmet meal and presented on beautiful table ware. We found it enjoyable to sit with other guests on our first morning and then we sat on our own the second morning, you have a choice. Overall I would recommend the Arrowhead Inn as a relaxing and comfortable destination with an inviting southern feel.

Phil and Gloria are kind and generous. The food was unique and delicious. We prefer a more home-style cooking. The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The area around the Inn has a great country feel and the grounds are meticulously kept. We will definitely refer our friends!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Arrowhead Inn. It really is a beautiful house that has so much charm. We stayed in the Mason room and it was very cozy and comfortable. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the company of other guests. We will love to come back again and will definitely recommend to others.

My first stay at the Arrowhead Inn was in the Fall of 2014, and I have stayed at least four times since then. With its beautiful, clean, comfortable rooms, and the Inn's historic, welcoming, and warm atmosphere, I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I visit the Durham/Chapel Hill/Raleigh area. The innkeepers, Phil and Gloria, go above and beyond the call of duty to make all guests feel welcome, and (as a bonus) the food is absolutely incredible! I would highly recommend the Arrowhead Inn to any and all travelers (especially business travelers like myself!). I look forward to my next stay.

I am actually local to the area and was looking to just get away... I CANNOT begin to tell you how accommodating Gloria and Phil were. They made sure my room was perfect (I stayed in the Lipscomb, HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT), I was well fed and comfortable in every way. The grilled Salmon I had for dinner was to die for, the grilled romaine with bacon and goat cheese salad to start was impeccable, not to mention the chocolate mousse cake for dessert :)

I had a leisurely evening drinking coffee in the garden, reading my book in bed and taking a long relaxing bath. I really CANNOT wait to go back. I recommend this venue for weddings, anniversaries, or just a night away. It will take you back hundreds of years to a time much simpler. That I really enjoyed.

My son married at Runnymede twelve miles away and we needed a place close. The inn was peaceful and beautiful and the perfect place for my son, groomsmen, parents, sisters and family. Gloria was very helpful and concerned that we got what we needed. Phil is hilarious and kept us laughing and is an amazing cook! The staff was kind and helpful. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay. We used many rooms, and suites, but my favorite was the cabin. It was perfect for the wedding party! It was a wonderful experience for our family!

The Arrowhead Inn was a great place for my wife and I to spend our first wedding anniversary! A short drive from Durham, my wife and I stayed in the log cabin on the property and enjoyed every minute of our visit. The cabin was very comfortable, outfitted with plenty of amenities for us to enjoy. The owners of the inn were very helpful throughout our stay and provided us with everything that we needed. Additionally, the breakfast the following morning was absolutely amazing! My wife and I loved our time at the Arrowhead Inn and are already planning to return for another anniversary in the future!

What a lovely stay! While we were only staying one night, Gloria and Phil were extraordinarily gracious hosts. I had requested an early check-in due to a family event. While this can be a challenge for a small place, they were ready for us. We wanted to pick up our key before going on to the event and Gloria was more than happy to show me our room, provide the key and allow us to drop off our luggage, if we desired. Upon returning that evening, Phil greeted us and inquired about special needs and/or dietary restrictions. The next morning's breakfast was outstanding and the hosts were delightful. A brief stroll around the grounds rounded out the experience in this pristine and comfortable inn. The inn is located in northern Durham a short drive from the heart of Durham.

I recently got back from a deployment and my wife thought it would be awesome to surprise me with a weekend getaway. Let me just say that my initial opinion was that this place is beautiful and amazing. My opinion hasn't changed. Gloria made us feel like if we where family and right at home while Phil made the most delicious breakfast and dinner I've had in a long time! This place is a packaged deal and worth every penny! My wife and I are glad to have shared many memories here.

I travel to the Durham area one a month and I always stay with Phil and Gloria. Their hospitality and great breakfasts keep me coming back. The Inn is clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully maintained and relaxing to just hang out in. A great place to unwind after a long day at work or a quiet get away.

Had a fantastic time as we do every time we stay here. Loved the cabin and we won't wait two years between stays this time! Great services, fantastic hospitality and fabulous accommodations. Found another favorite restaurant based on your recommendations and a long list of more to try. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

A friend recommend Arrowhead Inn to me for after our wedding, and we are so thrilled that she did. We stayed in the Benson Room, which was very comfortable. We were particularly excited about the gas fireplace and the jacuzzi bath. The staff was incredibly accommodating, especially since we were arriving very late. The breakfast was absolutely delicious both mornings; we do wish the regular chef wasn't out of town that weekend, but the breakfast was still incredible. We are looking forward to returning, perhaps for an anniversary!

This hotel is a one-of-a-kind experience in the Raleigh Durham Chapel Hill area. Gloria and Phil are absolutely fantastic innkeepers. Their hospitality and attention to detail is reflected in every wonderful thing they do. These are folks who truly care about making guests stays exceptional. We enjoyed learning history of the Inn... the in-room personal chef dinner was a delight! Already plan on returning year after year. Go there now!
