Highly recommend AZ Shutters. They offered to come out same day we called. He showed up right when they said they would. Gene was absolutely a pleasure to work with. I even got to fix his shoe that broke! I look forward to seeing our new kitchen shutter soon. Thx!

Where do I start ?
Initial appt went well with Ginger. She followed up and put a bit of a rush on our custom shutter order.
It began on the day Martin was scheduled to install the seven windows we ordered. We were told Martin was the most awesome installer, knew exactly what to do and we would not be disappointed. They guaranteed me a time between 11 AM and 1 PM this past Saturday.
It got to be close to 1 o’clock, I called my sales rep Ginger, left a voicemail. I called the office number and GENE, the owner, picked up and told me that Martin had two installs and obviously decided to go to the other install first. I asked how come I was not notified, no response. I was told that Martin was a independent contractor, came and went when he pleases and makes his own schedule. It went through 2 PM, 3 PM, after speaking with GENE another two times he had no idea what was going on. I even tried to reach Martin on his cell phone, he did not answer and Ginger mentioned he probably would not answer.

By 4:45 PM it was almost 4 hours after the cut off time they would’ve been there on a Saturday, I called Ginger she left a message for OWNER GENE and I reached GENE again he said that Martin should arrive close to 5 o’clock. 530 rolled around no Martin, no phone call. Because we live in a new area of victory at Verrado in Buckeye, I left detailed directions because GPS will not give Accurate instructions because the area is so new. No phone call from Martin however, he did show up at 6 PM.
He never apologized for changing the schedule and not notifying anyone he just showed up five hours late. I kept very quiet as he did his job and as I checked the shutters as they were installed, the hinges, louvers, were squeaking when I opened and closed them. I compared them to the ones we had done through the builder two months previous those did not squeak. He tried to remedy the situation but got frustrated and said he would probably have to take them all down, take them back and redo them. I was not up for this idea and told him I would discuss with OWNER Gene.
I commented to Martin, “I was told you were the best at this, installing and fixing any issue that could come up.“ He chuckled and did not know what to say from there. He left at approximately 7:30 PM.

I absolutely love my Plantation Shutters from Arizona Shutters and Blinds! Gene came to my home to measure and discuss color. We arranged it so that my shutters would be installed before we actually moved into our newly constructed home, which was ideal. Gene’s installer was very professional and kind. The shutters look amazing and function perfectly (I have them in every room of my home). I also appreciate the energy efficiency of them as well as the overall aesthetic. I especially love that I don’t have to fuss with curtains, rods, and the nightmare of dry cleaning fabrics for every window in my home this was taken care of in a few hours of shutter installation. My shutters are so easy to clean! No expensive dry cleaning bills and all the trouble that entails.
After the shutter installation, Gene helped me with a solution for our slider doors. We chose automated shades and again, he came out to my home to measure and discuss color/fabric with me.
There was a problem with the noise of the shade motors and Gene worked with me for a remedy. All along, Gene was helpful and professional… he wanted to ensure that I was very happy with all of my window treatments. I’m a very happy customer and will be recommending Gene to everyone I know who needs window treatments.

We purchased shutters from Arizona Shutters in March 2016. Gene was pleasant and came out to measure and provide a quote in a timely manner. Install went well too with no complaints. Fast forward to 2018, many of our shutters have become misaligned and do not close/open properly causing damage to the casing. We played phone tag for months with them trying to have them fixed. At first, Gene was instructed to come out and inspect our concerns. I received a panicked voicemail from their office representative the day he was scheduled that he could not locate our home on his GPS and would not be showing up. How is that possible when he was able to come for the initial measure and quote?!? There was no follow-up to reschedule and we were left with no answers. I proceeded to call back for days after to try and figure out another date but would speak to a different office person each time who required a 10-minute synopsis of who we were and our issue. Finally, weeks later, we had an installer show up to fix the shutters. However, almost immediately he said he did not have enough allotted time that day to correct the problems and would be coming back another day. Again we fell into the abyss and have not received any calls from Arizona Shutters; that was almost 2 months ago. Needless to say, we are furious and exhausted with dealing with this company. Be warned that if you have any issues following install, expect to get the run around from this company and never have it resolved.

Arizona Shutters makes the best quality WOOD SHUTTERS in Arizona. Gene Sherman, who came out to measure our windows is very experienced and the installers are very professional and talented. The shutters were also customized to my specifications and I am extremely satisfied with the product - it exceeded my expectation. Shutters were installed on some other windows a few years ago by two different manufactures and the shutters are thinner and do not exude the same classy quality that is found in the shutters from Arizona Shutters - and the prices were similar! I will be finishing the remainder of my windows with shutters from Arizona Shutters - a definite recommendation!
