Great place to rent kayaks and go up or down the Huron river. If you want to go down the rapids you may want to check the water level before you go. If the water level is too low you may have to get out and push your kayak at some points.

Beautiful! Cascades are a great outdoor activity for young people ages 8+. If you want to take younger children, you will need to bring your own tubes, raft, or kayak. Parking lot is gravel, so difficult for wheelchairs, but paved pathways that are accessible once you are in the park area. Some snacks, sunscreen, water shoes, and plastic bags to protect valuables are sold here. Can be very crowded, so coming early is recommended.

This is a pretty neat park. They've got a lot of walking trails but the coolest part are the kayak tours. It's $20 and you can take about an hour and a half kayak trip up the Huron River. The trip itself is really nice, the water isn't too crazy or anything. You'll get a little wet on the cascades though. When you're done they drive you right back to the park from Gallup Park so you don't even have to plan a ride back or anything. Very cool, would definitely go on the trip again.

What an awesome place to do Canoeing/Kayaking. Very affordable rent for Canoe and Kayak. You can also rwnt tubes to go down the river. Will definitely go back.

I love launching from Argo and taking my floats down the Cascades. Great summer appt for the family to get in the water with kayaks, canoes or floats. If you do the whole float from Argo to Gallup it's about 3 hours on a regular day if the water is decent and not too slow.

The Huron river runs through Ann Arbor, and to traverse through it, why not start here? The Argo livery at the nature area provides you with rental options for either 1 person or 2 person canoes where you can take a ride down the rapids along the river, leading you to the main branch of the Huron all the way down to Gallup park. Be prepared to get wet a bit. If you are less interested in the rapids, head upstream a bit along the reservoir and enjoy some of the local bird fauna. You might come across some Great Blue Herons and swans. You can also enjoy the reservoir by stand-up paddle board. If water sports are not your thing, head along the nature trail and hike all the way from dam to bridge and back again! Keep in mind that during peak hours during the weekends, you might have to wait in line for a one person kayak.

Argo is awesome! It has a great path around the river that's about 5km or 3 mi. It's great for walking, hiking, running, biking, tree climbing, kayaking, and cross-country skiing. There are public restrooms and a gazebo where a folk band plays every Monday night. Also great for playing Pokémon Go!
