Appomattox Rehab is not a good facility. They are not responsible facility. I would not recommend long term care or short term care. I have a family member there. Rehab was given specfic directions for care for our love one. Everyday we go to see our love one and the direction given have not been followed. Everyday there is a issue.

Dear Owner, thanks for your response. Im fighting a loosing battle. No one had to ask me to write a review.

I have had several family members stay at Appomattox Health and Rehab and I have been an employee for 14 years.
Appomattox is lucky to have a local facility for our family and friends.

My father, Garland Thomas was here for a short period of time. I could not ask for him to receive better care. All of the staff were very knowledgeable and you could tell they cared deeply about their patients.

I was approached by a family member and asked if I could post a review of the facility for her because she did not feel that she was "savvy" enough to post.

"I am a mother of a 35 yr old daughter who has been very ill. As I watched her in the hospital not knowing if she would ever be able to have a normal conversation, if she would ever hold her daughter, if she would be able to sit up on her own or ever walk again.

As the next decision was approaching, the thoughts came to mind, can I change places with my daughter? She is so young. I was not in a position to make the decision that had to be made. It was completely out of my hand. Where would my daughter be after the hospital stay? What would the conditions be like, how would she and the staff relate, would I need to stay with her every night so she and I would feel comfortable? So many thoughts, tears and a lot of prayers.

I received a call from the hospital, my daughter was accepted at Appomattox Health and Rehab.

My daughter has been there a few weeks now and I am praising The Lord for the family my daughter has been placed with to care for her.

Starting with Administrator, Admission Director, and the Director of Nursing. During the process they listened and showed how much they cared. The process went very smooth. THANK YOU !!!

The ladies at the front desk are very approachable and are always willing to help answer questions or just listen. Thank you.

Thank you to the Nurse Practitioner that is so involved with my daughter. She cares about each detail and takes the time to explain what is happening and what the next step should be.

The nursing staff have been very loving and caring with my daughter and me. The encouragement, laughter and some tears we share together.

The staff there are my daughters biggest cheerleaders. I can sleep at night knowing she is being cared for.

The team that works with my daughter personally cares for what is best for her.

The staff there I feel is our family, Administrator, Admission, Director of Nursing, the team that evaluates her as far is what is best for her, setting up doctors appointments, finding the best roommate.
Thank you ALL for taking care of my daughter. Thank you for becoming our family. --JN"
