Great place. Took my reptile there and the charge was $70 which is cheap for a lizard most places charge over $150 and the wait was long only like 5 minuets.
They were a life saver. I evacuated from Florida for hurricane Irma and my hotel here was not pet friendly. All of the nearby boarding facilities were full. The doctor was happy to board my babies and let me drop them off after hours. Plus the cost was incredibly affordable on my small budget.
Today I thought was the end of the road for Stan. Having traveled so much lately, his weight loss was stunning - 25% of his body weight gone. He's been lethargic, not hungry, and generally uninterested in the world. I figured he's 14 years old and it's just that time. Took him to the vet fully anticipating bringing him home to bury him but after a battery of tests, turns out it's a raging UTI. Mr Stan seemed to be on his deathbed only to be saved by the knowledge and compassion of Dr Mangum. My darling friend Gene Hill was a true blessing driving us to and from the vet since I couldn't see through the sad tears on the way there and the joyful tears on the way back. He's not out of the woods yet. Could lead to endocarditis or he could be cured and go back to his moody self. But today I get one more day with him. Today I have so many reasons to be thankful.
Vet was condescending and unemotional. We were putting down our beloved dog and he had guests running in and out of the room. Was unsympathetic while our dog was dying. It was a horrible experience. This vet is 2 mins from our house. Now we drive 20 minutes to an amazing veterinarian that actually cares.
Absolutely excellent service for my dog. Great prices and a wonderful staff.
we raise english bulldogs, i had my dog artificial insemental which was 800.00 then the ultrosound 300.00 then the c section to ge the pups out, was over 600.00 so we went to pick out female up who was in excellent health got her home and a hour later she dies call him and he says she must have had a blood clot, yea right , buryed her she had 6 pups beautiful pups so where up every 2 hrs feeding them. about a week later a pup got sick took it back to him he kept it all day and sent it home 300.00 ok now a mom and a pup died, so now whe have another pup sick rushed it to him and i got a day and a half to pick it up after call them 3 times, they tell me the pups still alive so i go the next day and they bring the pup to me in a bag and said it died,,,,so now we have another on sick again wont eat just like the other ones so tomorrow we take it to another vet which we should have already done,,, Please if u care for ur dog please dont bring it to him he will kill ur dog and dont even care. Go some where else, i hope he send me a bill it wont be paid if anything he should pay me for my female dog and puppies and he has still not yet called me and we used him for yrs...
This was my worst vet experience ever. I had a 6 month old water dragon that came with a respiratory infection when I got him. I took him for treatment and the first vet bill (for antibiotics and fluids) was $108. I took him back a week later and the infection was almost gone and the vet said he was doing much better. Then the vet tech came in to trim his nails and when he set him down he wasn't moving like he crushed him or something. I took him home at the bill was $75 and he died that night. And the whole time the vet talked to us like we were idiots bc we are young. So only two vet appointments later for a small reptile the bill was almost $200 and my reptile is dead.
Great vet. Always treats my dog well, and has reasonable prices. Wait time can be an issue at times, however all in all this place is where you need to take your animals.
The only reason I am giving a 1 star is because I had to. This place is the most disgusting animal hospital I have EVER been in. We got the dog from Morristown humane society and they had scheduled his neutering...big mistake, 3 days later his genitalia (balls) were the size of a softball...and growing. They started bleeding...took him in and Dr. Mangum gave him a sedative....our dog is 110lbs. He also gave him an antibiotic injection and charged us $98 dollars...what a joke. Basically when I questioned anything, I was talked to as if I was an uneducated dumb blonde. I work with animals and this does not happen. They also said the infection was not from their office...yeah right...that place was absolutely disgusting!!! I also know Dr. Mangum has killed 2 of our close friends dogs...this place is a butcher shop. If you care about your animals, take them elsewhere. I would trust a drug dealer with an online certification more than I trust this man! DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!
Yes, sometimes it takes a while to be seen but Dr. Mangum really does care f [r the animals he treats. He has vetted my giant rabbits for 3 years and has been very thorough in their care. He makes 'house calls' for ranchers and many times we have a wait for an emergency. The care my animals get is excellent from this dedicated vet.
