Food was good. Busy night when we were there and seemed understaffed and we had much longer wait. We seem to pick it on busy times. Maybe when not so busy it would be better experience for us.

So the overall experience was great. But the wings that we got seemed as though they were not cooked to order. They were warm with some cold spots. Which would seem that they were just reheated or microwaved.

We arrived approximately at 8pm. We had no idea of what to expect because we are here just for a weekend getaway from the city. Emmy was so very helpful! She informed us of the nightly specials. The portobello fries were interesting! The Gator appetizer was AMAZING! We ordered the prime rib special it was very good. We enjoy our steaks we are not a novice with that. The chef/cook really knows how to cook to the proper temperature. The homemade ranch dressing was just right. The only downfall honestly was the steak knives, they were dull. So if your looking for a great meal with friendly and knowledgeable staff, I’d say this is your place!

The building was a little frumpy, but the food and service were outstanding. The 1/2 rack of ribs and shrimp which included 2 sides, I got sweet potato fries and a bowl of great chili, was super delicious and a generous portion of shrimp with great cocktail sauce. The $2.00 ice tea was quite good and brought the meal to about $20 total before tax. Hard to beat!!!

Very good appealing food, great service. Not fancy or stuffy, but excellent place for a steak, wings or shrimp. Sweet potato fries are a house specialty. Had a rehearsal dinner there and they treated us very graciously and attentively. A little tricky to find, but worth the search.

Driving through town and stopped for a quick bite. This place is delicious! Maryland crab soup had so much real crab! The wings (hot) were big and had the perfect amount of heat. A typical burger at any restaurant is $5-11, this one was $8 and topped with lump crab. Great portions for the price and food was top notch!

So good we ate there 2 nights in a row while visiting the area! The food was fantastic & the prices great too. I'd highly recommend the prime rib & creamy crab soup. Awesome craft beer selection as well.

Staying at the Best Western and just getting back from the Roman Baths,we decided to try this restaurant. Within the parking lot..steps away. Turned out to be a great choicemy stomach under the weather so our server,Karen, suggested a grilled chicken breast with rice..and I ordered applesauce. My partner ordered the twin crabcakes on rice. handmade with no fillerno seasonings..just right. Their cornbread is the best I have ever eaten.and Karen was attentive and very friendly. Where the locals eat.

The steak, fries, and shrimp were good. The crab cake, however was no where near on par with main of the local offerings in my backwoods home in Maryland. While I am no culinary expert, and those of my local restaurants are far from the best, I expect a crab cake to come in cake form and not as a dried pile of crab, barely clinging together, if at all. Otherwise the experience was quite pleasant, and my girlfriend and I have no major complaints or reasons that you should go elsewhere.

About 3 years ago, my wife and I were driving from VT to WV and then right back to VT. We arrived at Berkeley Springs after being on the road for about 16 hours. We were dead tired and all I wanted was a meal and a bed. We checked into the Hotel, and walked across the parking lot to the nearest restaurant, the Angus and Ale. Gotta tell ya, when I sat down and the friendly waitress came over, I didn't feel much like talking, but before I knew it, she pretty much knew our life's history, and we knew hers. She treated us more as family than customers, and the craft beers were we're drinking were sooo good! We felt good enough to try the Gator Tail appetizer and it was Awesome! Also had the best steak I ever ate! We hated to leave the place, but all good things must come to and end. That was three years ago, and we've been trying to get back that way ever since, and we finally made it back just before Christmas. it was just as good as we remembered, super friendly waitress, Gator Tail, beers and all! Thanks for making two tired travelers feel right at home again! Have a wonderful year and we'll see you again in 2017!

Very good burgers but the NY strip was tough. Very large portions. The portobello fries were yummy.

We decided to stop and try this place, even with the mixed reviews, and I am so glad we did! The food was delicious, the service was amazing and the desserts even better! I highly recommend the prime rib and deep fried cheesecake!! Will definitely be a place we come back to!!

I should have known by the sticky bathroom floor that it was going to be bad. My mom and I chose to eat at Angus and Ale while on our mini vacation. We were both sorry. I would like to make it known that the waitress was very sweet.
The spinach crab dip was good. I will admit that.
I got clam strips and fries, my mom got the crab burger. I had high hopes for french fries, they were like rubber. No, they were worse than rubber. They tasted like they were microwaved and were soggy, cold, and flimsy, not hot and crispy! Such a disappointment.
When the waitress (who again, was very nice) saw that we didn't eat our meals, she took the crab dip off the bill, the only thing we ate!
I would never recommend anyone to go eat here. The website is nicer than the actual restaurant.
