I had an ac installed, the guy did a good job, but he was so rude to me. I had set the remote down and he ripped my head off, "Where's the remote!" And talked to me like I was an idiot. Would NOT recommend this company.

I own a number of multiunit rental properties. I am a construction project manager for a large developer in Buffalo Prior to my call I and my handyman snaked my tenants sink (25'LF) ourselves. We couldn't get it to drain. I knew it had to be something in the basement/main but didn't have the time.. I called Anderson Shortell thereafter and had a service call (This was on 5/17/17 1:30pm and was told the tech could be there in 30-45 minutes.). I always tell all of my tenants to text when the subcontractor arrives and leaves so I can vet bills when I receive them.. The worker (I will not relay his name here as I am calling monday morning to discuss) was there for 45 minutes. I opened my bill that was in my office for maybe a week now and it states "After hours, cleared kitchen drain with snake, all ok. found drain line in basement broken." $250.00.

First of all this is my profession- Construction Project Manager. Second, when I select a sub for any of my projects, trust is one of the first things established which is opposite of how I feel right now..! Third, We snaked the kitchen sink prior to their arrival ourselves. Fourth, There is no breakdown of materials for me to look at while I am in the basement of the property to see if it really happened, $250 for 45 minutes, and it states "after hours" for a mid afternoon call??? I will call monday morning or feel free to contact me sooner as needed. I would not have a sub that operates like this on any of my job sites

i really don't appreciate being called on my cell phone while I'm at work, with some guy who is a complete ass. Very argumentative. If I was smart I would have tried to catch his name. You could really use a little help listening.

Since a previous person mentioned that the owner will go out of there way to contact you. Please do, I have a lot to say. And now you know my name and email address. I'm waiting.

UPDATE: So the owner of the company reads reviews if he figures out who you are, will spend the price of a stamp to send you a nasty note. Best part was, more than one person lives in my house, so the person that got the nasty note was not the one who wrote the review. Wonderful customer service policy. Original review below:
Guy stopped on his way home- yes, we were on his way home, he did not have to go out of his way. He was here for less than an hour and we were charged for 2 hours labor. When we called to complain we were told that they bill from the time the guy LEAVES the office until he returns. I have never heard of that! So if the plumber gets a flat tire or stops to get gas, coffee, run errands, etc then the customer is paying him $100 bucks an hour to do so? Anyhow, back to my point that the guy went straight home after leaving our house, so they just made up the time for labor. 45 minutes work = 2 hour labor charge? I got him to take $50 of that off the bill , but what a ripoff still! Will not be using again. If you use them, make sure you keep track of how long they are at your house and what you are getting billed for!

Terrific job! So glad we chose this company. They were very professional, personable and explained the whole process- furnace, hot water and AC. Highly recommend.

I am a remodeling contractor and I often deal with many subs on a job. We often call Anderson because of the level of knowledge and experience of their staff. They always have the equipment to quickly diagnose complex problems and offer solutions not temporary fixes. We use them because they're professional, on time and a reliable resource for our commercial and residential needs. Many of the staff especially Dana Oaks, has taken the time to discuss heating efficiency, proper code and ways to improve on current systems in place. I've seen their staff on large scale commercial projects and small residential projects and they always deliver a well done job.
