We've enjoyed our time here at Ames Brook. The owners (and Becky) have made us feel very welcome. Barbie was able to hook us up with a seasonal campsite which has been amazinggravel (not dirt), spacious and shaded! Vernon was responsive when a storm came through and took out our cable and wifithey are great hosts and proud owners.

My wife and I stayed for the month of July and had a wonderful, quiet and relaxing stay. The sites are very large and private. The owners go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your time at their very clean and well kept campground.

This place is the BEST! SO Clean are the sites. So clean are the buildings and lavatory. So friendly are the staff and especially the campers. Great place to bring the RV and relax. Very quiet.

The owners go out of there way to assure a pleasant stay. They also take pride in the spacious, level sites.
We arrived from Fl early in the day and they got us right to our site.
Great folks and nice facilities. They really pay attention to detail.
Will be back again and again.

Not a good experience at all. I wanted just 2 nights but AFTER arriving was told 3 night minimum. However was charged for 4 nights and was basically told " we're sorry but to bad." We were put in an area with no shade with a bunch of older folks who were offended by my motorcycle. It was bike weekgo figure. The playground was closed. The pool was closed. Not a good experience especially for $60 a night.

Very nice, well thought out campground. Sites are large and level with small stone and nice privacy with trees between. A very nice and knowledgeable lady booked us and knew what we needed for a site for our camper. We will be booking again.

Spacious wooded sites with trees and brush between neighboring sites. The brook winds through the campground providing a soothing sound especially good for sleeping. The gal at the office was friendly and informative.

When I paid and made our reservation by phone several days before our arrival, I specifically asked if there were any low bridges nearby to the campground, especially on the back roads. The owner, Barbara, said "no, it's a very touristy area, you will be fine driving everywhere here." THERE IS A 10'9" BRIDGE 3 MILES FROM THE CAMPGROUND ON THE SAME ROAD. Taking the road from Weirs Beach will lead you directly to this low bridge, where turning around is terrifying and almost impossible, right next to train tracks. You then need to drive all the way back to take another route. It is literally a couple of minutes away from the campground. We had told Barbara we would be arriving after 7 pm when the office would already be closed, so she said they would post a paper to the office door for us showing us where to park, where to find the bathrooms, game room, etc. There was no paper anywhere for us to find. Not the place to go if you're looking for good customer service or hospitality. Will not be going back.
