Outdated hotel did not use fitted sheets, bed was horrible to sleep in. Try to leave after first night refused to give me a full refund for 2nd night
Good value. Clean enough. Bring your own shampoo
You may read these reviews and think "it can't be THAT bad" like I did. It is THAT bad. Don't let your positive experience with other run down motels lead you to believe that this one could be okay. There is no desperation level that justifies staying at this place. Just get a tent. It's cleaner and has less bugs.
We arrived only to find out that the room we had booked was no longer available. She told us that she "accidentally" gave our room away to another customer. In addition to this the room smelled like smoke and had no air conditioning. We were exhausted and although unhappy had decided to stay and deal with the room... Until we pulled the sheets off and found bed bugs. To the credit of the owner, we did get a refund with relatively little fight. Overall though we were very dissatisfied and ended up leaving and staying with some friends last minute.
Not updated. Beds were uncomfortable and dirty. Run down fixtures, It was quiet, but for $100 per night you can find a much nicer place to stay near Clemson university.
For the cheapest motel in Clemson, America's Best was better than other motels of the same caliber. It's no 5-star hotel by any means, but it's great for what it is.
Since I was just staying overnight, there isn't much to say, but I did think the room was comfortable and the couple at the front desk were respectable and helpful.
It was clean, with a comfortable bed. The shower was good. Everything was basic, but well taken care of. The Indian couple that ran the motel didn't geek out when we checked out 40 minutes late.
I have stayed here a few years ago when the motel was known as Clemson Suites, wasn't the best experience but over the years there was a change in management.
I came back to give it another try, hearing there was a change in franchise and everything was better.
- Office was nice and clean, got my room quickly with ease.
- Service was friendly, professional, and was very supportive when I needed directions.
- Area around it is becoming more industrialized with restaurants and grocery stores near by.
- Hotel was repainted to suit it's franchise.
- Rooms were clean, updated, and odorless.
- FREE WIFI
Overall, the stay was good for the price.
I recommend Americas Best Inns in Clemson, to anyone whom is looking for a good place to stay for the lowest price in town.
