One of the best theaters in the area! It's like taking a trip back in time to how theaters used to be. Gorgeous architectural details. I love how they show old movies from the 30s, 40s. Saw the Philadelphia Story last night, featuring Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant. It was out of this world! ☺

The RITZ in the suburbs! The Ambler Theatre is terrific on all counts. Great vintage ambiance, wonderful prices, annual memberships, and film fare that is artistic and rewarding. After the movie, go to a wonderful Ambler restaurant. Can;t be beat!

For those who love independent movies this is one of the better places in eastern Pennsylvania to go. In addition to the fact that it's a comfortable theater with digital technology, the parking is good and ambler has several good eateries.

I just saw the movie Dina and Scott. This was one of the best movies I have ever seen. The honesty and love displayed by this couple is heart warming.

Great classic movie theater lobby interior, with more modern comfortable seating in the theater itself. Great prices on the concessions, and friendly staff.

The ambiance and seating are great. The variety of art house mobies as well as classics make it a nice divergence from your usual movie chain. Terrific staff and a feeling of community add to the experience.

How can anyone not love the Ambler Theater? The prices are better than the big chains and there is such a great atmosphere in the building. They play great artistic movies also, not just the block buster standard movies at the big theaters. The have a great membership program for a yearly fee (50 bucks per person or less) and tickets are 6 bucks per members, with free events sometimes. If you are going to the movies 8 times a year or more, it is worth it! Concessions are a good price and they have hot tea and fancier chocolates, too!

This cooperative-owned, non-profit theater is exceptional in that you can walk in to any film they may be showing, and you'll see a quality production. The staff and the viewing conditions are excellent. And the prices of tickets and concession items are reasonable .

Have been going here since it opened 2002. The films are always intellectually stimulating, entertaining and no teenagers. A venue for thoughtful people.

Quaint little theater, with an old time feel. Shows films you may not get to see in the mainstream theaters.

A beautifully maintained older theater that distinguishes itself by running more independent movie fare on its screens. Don't go here for the latest blockbuster release, but you will find most of the movies are critically acclaimed. If you really enjoy movies then there's no reason not to have this theater in the rotation if you live in the area.
