I wouldn't recommend anyone work for the Amazon at Jeffersonville, IN, especially if your manager is Kriti. I do think she subjectively decides who she'll keep and who she'll let go and I believe she changes the production numbers on people who she doesn't want to keep, just to get rid of them. It does no good to complain about this, but it's true. I got a write-up my first day work, right after training last year and I didn't even know I was even out of training. This is how unfair this place is. Not a good place to work -- at least not as a temp. The production numbers required are ridiculously high. Even management couldn't do it.

My experience working for Amazon is great. I make more money than any job i ever worked for.The employees that i work with are great and managers, benefits are wonderful as well.In all, Amazon is the place to be.

I wouldn't advise anyone to work here as a temporary. They get rid of temps fast (within a few weeks) if you don't meet the quota, which could be "100" a hour. This is totally unreasonable. i would especially be wary of manager Kriti (who was over the temps last year). I believe she changes the production numbers on people she doesn't like. They say the managers can't do that but I know they can.

I worked there for a few years and at first; things were pretty good. Now they have increased our rates and have been slowly raising them up even higher. If you go to work for Amazon. Stay for four years and get out by taking the buy out option in January. That way you will get your stocks and extra cash.

Last I heard from a friend still in the building they introducing new company policies to make it harder to stay on for a long time. Since it is cheaper to hire new people rather pay long term employees the maxed pay rate.

There isn't a job that is difficult, physical yes but difficult no. GREAT benefits from healthcare to vacation to management. Only 4 stars because I'm not big on the pay scale. Job performance is not taken into consideration, raises are the same for everyone. But I do enjoy working here.

Going strong for 4+ years now, promoted to trainer in learning department 2 years ago and haven't even thought about another job. Most of the people that say avoid this place or that it is to hard to make rate are usually lacking in work ethic and want to get paid to literally walk around and talk to people. If you want to make a good living wage and work for an amazing company that is ever growing. Come see us at Amazon.

Great place to work.

It is not that difficult to pack, like previous reviews claimed. More than half of all items nowadays go into poly bags which shouldn't take more than 15-20 seconds for the average worker to pack out. Experienced packers can take less than 10 seconds. You can easily get the 100 quota if you keep busy.

I wouldn't recommend anyone work for Amazon, at least not ss a temporary. Thy production level required (for everyone) is ridiculously high and even management couldn't do it, I'm sure. They require packers to pack 100 boxes or packages per hour, which is ridiculous, and they get rid of temporaries very fast. I had a very bad manager, an Indian woman, who gave me a write-up on my first day, even when I thought I was still in training. If that's not ridiculous, I don't know what is. And I believe the managers can change the production numbers if they want to, and make it look like you produced less work than you did. They say they can't -- but I don't believe it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend anyone to work for Amazon, especially on a temporary basis. They can be unreasonable and unfair.
