Bought a coffee table and 2 end tables as a set for my in-laws. EXACTLY what they were looking for. Only 4 stars as they don't deliver out of the area (same state, 90 miles away). They are THRILLED and can't wait to get them home!
Most of the furniture we saw looked like brand new, and was fairly priced.
Great selection. Way too pricey.
Low selection of office furniture.
Different items than those shown online.
Nice used furniture. Original wooden furniture. One has to keep an eye not all the time you will get what you want do have some patience.
Allegheny offers very high quality used consignment furniture at great prices. The staff is friendly and very helpful. One of my favorite places to furniture shop!
Lots of really nice furniture in great condition. Very nice personnel and very helpful. Definitely go there if you looking for second hand furniture. You can't do better.
If you're looking for something a little different than what's trending in the big furniture stores, stop by here. Some of the prices are inexplicably high, but they just might have the perfect piece. They're website is pretty good, definitely check that out before making the trip.
Found the perfect sofa and loveseat for our living room at an amazing price. Only $794 for a Broyhill sofa and loveseat. We were looking at the exact same set in a regular furniture store and on a whim stopped at AFC where we found the whole set in perfect condition for less than the price of the sofa alone at the regular store. Next time we will stop here first.
LOVE AFC! Have used their consignment services as well as bought many pieces over the last year or so. As a young family starting out we were able to consign many of the mis-matched high quality "hand me downs" we had from our parents and purchase exactly what we wanted to fit our style and our new home. Since they are getting new stuff all the time we did not have to wait long to have everything we needed. Will definitely be back!
We felt that we did not get even close to a fair price for two very nice pieces of furniture we placed at the Frederick, MD location. We also had a problem with late receipt of a letter that the 90 day consignment was ending and we had to scramble. They did make good on extending the consignment under pressure. For two brand name sofas with labels that were in 'like new and excellent' condition, originally valued at $1100 and $1700 respectively, we netted less than $200 in proceeds (accounting for the pick up charge to get the furniture to their store). We would not do business with them in the future. We would also not do business again with their parent company Wolf Furniture who recommended AFC. They failed at two attempts deliver a new, custom ordered leather sofa that was undamaged upon receipt. We ultimately ordered and received new furniture elsewhere without difficulty.
Don't like how they operate. Sold my couch with chaise on December 4th and still have not received a check was told last week the put a rush on the check and had it mailed out. Something strange about all this. Other people have had bad experiences with them but I didn't know this before I went there.. But I won't let this go. I don't cheat anyone so I don't expect to be cheated.
