  Ignore the lighting, it gets weird at night! I want you guys to see how hidden these beaded sew ins are! Once they are color matched and colored, you don’t have to worry about them showing obviously to other people. LOOK! It’s awesome. Honestly. And there are only TWO rows from ear to ear + 2 tape ins for the front sides! So easy to manage, you can wear your hair up/ back! It’s amazing.   Rene makes my dang life you guys! She’s my lady! Always a good time. We took her from an all over, dimensionless bleach and tone to this lived in lob! Added #babehair tape in extensions to her front sides to help define her lob and hide the face framing / bang layers she is growing out. This is key! 🗝 without the front being filled her lob would appear to end at her ears and then taper up to her bangs. (Somewhat of a bowl cut, right?) This color +cut correction involved extension install, scalp treatment, deep condition, haircut, root shade, lowlight, (reverse balayage) and blowdry style.   Hello my darling angels! Today I want to talk to you/warn you about doing color yourself at home. My most precious client and friend, Sara here asked her boyfriend to pick up lavender 💜 Ion hair color from Sally’s. He came home proudly with BLUE! She told him if she colored her hair blue that I, her stylist, would kill her! 😂🙈 but being that he was so adorably proud of retrieving color for her, she let him apply this blue to her whole head. Fast forward some time, she gets a... new job that requires she only have ‘natural’ looking hair color. She came to me to try to remove the blue. Well. She had already been lightened to a very light blonde over our previous appointments, so putting a gentle volume with lightener was still pushing her limits and the blue was not budging. Even worse, some blue had faded to green! In these color corrections, we must listen to the hair and remember the foundation of hair color... color theory. If we could not remove the blue/green, we had to neutralize it. What neutralizes blue/green? Orange + red. Yep. My love had to go Copper. This photo is after we had cut LOTS of inches off, and the copper had faded some to reveal the good old Ion Sally’s color. Even after time when you think color has left your cuticle because it’s “faded” or can’t be seen anymore, it is STILL in the hair. There are only chemical ways to remove the color molecules, which again. Do not do by yourself at home! And sadly for the health of your hair, sometimes the only option to remove the old color is by cutting it off and starting fresh. Luckily Sara was ready for a good CHOP ✂️ being that it’s 120 degrees here in Arizona. Lesson learned: don’t go to Sally’s!   Let’s talk EXTENSIONS! Methods, differences in effect on the natural hair, maintenance, and TIME. *refer to my story for more info & will be posted to my highlights after!* The two methods I offer as of now are: Tape In & Microbeaded Sew In. The first four photos of my post are my hair, right now, (with a braid pulling some back) with the Sew In Method. This is ONE PACK of hair, 16” blonde wefts custom toned. The following photos are my hair, various colors with various leng...ths of Tape Ins. I used 2-3 packs for tape ins on my own hair, which on average I use 3-4 packs on others. As you can see, I could have used more in my own. (Having such thick extensions in now, I feel kind of embarrassed for only using 2 packs in my own hair) Then again we run out of room and it was very time consuming when it came time to take them out and reinstall every 5 weeks. The more tape ins, the longer the process and the more residue in your natural. (Being taken care of professionally will ensure minimal damage however.) The Sew In method takes nearly HALF the time tape ins do, for install and the 5-6 week move up. Per pack you get twice as much hair for sew in, we can layer the wefts to mimick your natural density for best results. The best part? Sew ins require no sticky mess. There should be no effect on the natural hair after a sew in method is worn. When it is grown out and ready to be moved up, you may feel some slight tugging/weight. You can wear your hair up with much more ease and not worry about the extensions showing. Average appointment time for move up? 1 hour. (Unless you need color) Pricing ranges depending on packs needed, length, color, custom coloring, etc so contact me for quotes and questions. ✨ I taught Ashley how to install these so she could continue to slay my hair as always.
