Had ordered, returned 2 pair New Balance from Amazon, 1 directly from New Balance. Couldn't get the right size. Thanks to Teresa at Allan's Shoes, we worked until the right pair was found. And, the price was no higher than the 2 on-line sites. Amazing!
This is the best shoe store in town. I only buy New Balance Shoes, and require a wide size. They always have a super selection and super friendly and knowledgeable staff. They are the best!
Was helped by a younger gentleman I believe his name was Pablo, was really nice and had a very good personality also Marci has helped me in the past very good store they have it all
I Had A Very Good Experience. I Had Paul, He Is A Very Nice Guy. And He listens to what you need. He will help.
Good selection of walking & running shoes. Terrible customer service. Memo to staff: Do not ignore overweight folks looking for shoes. They just might be looking to spend a lot of money. This was my 2nd experience being ignored by staff when the store was not busy. Plenty of other places to buy that are not as expensive
I have overpronation so it's tough for me to find comfortable shoes. I walked in to Alan's, told Marci exactly what I needed, and she instantly knew what models would work for me. Great experience and I'll be back.
This is a great resource for wide shoes. The prices are high, but you get the old school personal fit from folks who know what they are doing. They use sizing gauges to get you just the right size pair of shoes.
Good service, quality shoes, but a bit pricey.
Williams Center location has nicer employees.
Always well taken care of and treated extremely well.
Very poor customer service! Marcy began helping me, but before bringing me the shoes I chose she took a phone call. This call sale was obviously more important than what I was trying to buy. I tried to get another person to help me and that's when she finally decided to continue with me. Regardless of the fact that not many sales persons were present, she should have finished my business first. Needless to say I left without buying anything.
I like Alan's Shoe Houses and have bought a couple of pairs of shoes from them. I got my Earth shoes & Birkies there when I was preggers & my hubby's gotten a few pairs of good quality flip flops there but, overall, the shoes at Alan's are for a much older crowd.
As a bonus-They keep track of your sales and at the end of the end of the year they send you a coupon for a discount based on your purchases. I used mine on another pair of flip flops for my husband and I asked "what if I get the wrong size" they said no problemo just bring your receipt back when you exchange them.
With the exception of a few brands like Uggs & New Balance you're mostly going to find Mephisto, Clarks, Rockports & those crazy convex soled shoes made by MBT. I have also seen handbags, handkerchiefs & scarves.
The service is always great. The sales associates have always been very nice, patient & helpful getting the right size and such. Their store is always immaculate, too. But if you're looking for high fashion this is not going to be your destination. Located close to Monkey Burger & Pita Jungle.
