This place has a great selection and great prices for sure. But we are less than impressed with the customer service. We have furnished our living room, kitchen and dining area with their furniture but the dining room table we ordered has been delivered twice now damaged. I’m having it ordered for the 3rd time today. Furniture is not cheap and frankly, I’m very unimpressed with Stephanie, the delivery coordinator who basically made it seem like it’s such an inconvenience for her to have to order AGAIN and gave me attitude about how they have no control over what happens to our furniture in the truck. Nice attitude. Considering it’s OUR money, yes, we’d like our furniture non damaged. I’m also not impressed with Catherine (Katherine—spelling?) my husband has emailed her a few times with pictures of the leveling screws missing on our kitchen table chairs and she has not once emailed him back. Customer service sucks here and we’ll be sure to be speaking to a manager soon.

Called to see if they had a dresser in stock. Gave them the stock number to verify it was there the lady said it was in stock. Drove 2 hours to pick it up and when we got there they did now have it,and said They would have to order it. The staff is not very knowledgeable on what they have.

We purchased 3 Ashley couches with an ottoman and 2 chic blown glass lamps for the price of 1 couch/loveseat combo. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I've bought furniture here numerous times; always the best prices, really helpful people over the phone and in store. Live in Birmingham and make the 90 mile drive because it's always worth it. Every. Single. Time. HUGE selection. Wide range of styles, price ranges, and decor for every room.

From the outside it doesn't look like much but it's definitely great.

Family owned and operated with two locations and a huge selection of some of the best furniture in the country. The Dogtown location has been there forever and just keeps growing. Wouldn't buy furniture anywhere else

Service was very bad. Not even greeted as I walked in and not once was I asked if needed anything.. Very pricey.. I found the same beautiful bedroom set at barter post store in rainsville for more than $2,500 cheaper.. AND they were welcoming. I will NOT be returning to Akins. I suggest looking around before buying from this one.

Beautiful brand name furniture at huge discounts. Everyone is helpful in finding what you need. If they don't have it in stock they will do their best to order what you need.
Joy helped us and was very patient and helpful.
