  Very nice area to spend my evening with my dog who is cooped up at home for 9 hours a day while I'm working. Just wish that some people would pick up their garbage instead of leaving it in the sand. There are trash bags available to throw your garbage away. And if you have a dog with you, be sure to bring bags to pick up their poo because nobody likes stepping in it.

  There is a great dog friendly beach in Ahern State Park. Plenty of parking. The views are wonderful. Mostly locals, so it was very quiet compared to other lakes in the region.

  Beautiful views, awesome walking/hiking trails. The only local park i know of, that allows dogs. Wonderful place to spend the day. 🐶😆

  Awesome place to hike and swim! Clean beaches and alot of easy hiking paths that lead to fantastic scenic areas of Lake winnisquam!
