So, I take my dog here Friday night around 8:30. The place is clean, nice, the people were attentive and polite. My dog had impaled herself on a stick or something while my wife and I were at dinner. The Vet says its about 5 inches deep, missed everything essential, but will need to be flushed and a drainage tube put in...$700-900!!! I said, "Wow" what are the other options?" He said, make her comfortable and take her to your vet tomorrow. So, they gave her a shot of antibiotics and morphine $170.00!!. We got up Saturday at 7am, had her at a Vet at 8:30. They confirmed the diagnosis, operated, kept her overnight and sent us home Sunday with a spray for the wound, and 2 bottles of antibiotics. $210.00. Now my beef is not with the Vet, the staff or the service, but with the price. I'm 50, I have owned businesses, I am a career banker, I understand capitalism and the need for profit. I understand that operating in Davidson does not have the overhead as Guilford or the city of Greensboro. I understand that emergency service has additional cost and paying more for the convenience. However there is a difference between profit and price gouging. I have a hard time believing that surgery could not have been done for, say $450-500 and make a decent profit and not have to send a patient home with an open wound. $40 more than their price I had it taken care of. The funny thing was, one of the staff mentioned that most of the people are not repeat customers. I cannot imagine why? My dog is a stray I took in and I have another we got from the pound. With the cost of pet ownership getting asininely high, we will not be taking in anymore strays. I cannot run from Rockingham county to Davidson to get reasonable pet care. The Vets in Rockingham are about as bad. It's sad when it's about getting all you can, when you got the chance, rather than building a practice with the care being the primary driver. Again, the service was good, the place was clean, the staff was nice and the Vet was honest about the condition and being able to get the care at a better price during regular hours. i just don't understand why you wouldn't take the business at a reasonable price, rather than pass it along?

Worst place ever! Do not bring your animal here. My dog's ear was cut and was bleeding uncontrollably and did absolutely nothing and kept us here for 4 hours and did not update is on his condition despite multiple questions by us. The only answer we received was that they were getting to our dog Staff is incredibly rude and has never heard of customer service a day in their lives! They threatened my wife and I instead of apologizing for their mistakes. The even used being busy as an excused for their absolutely ridiculous practice they run here. I don't care that you are busy. Do not bring your pet here ever!

Absolutely love this place, we are able to see a doctor as an established client at any time, while apts are encouraged it is convenient for our super busy schedules with 5 animals. Also had a great experience with a surgical procedure. Recommend them whenever possible!

Our 13 year old dog became sick very quickly. We rushed her the After Hours clinic where they took very good care of her. They explained all of our options and painted an honest picture of her health. We had to put her to sleep. It was an extremely hard decision and they were compassionate and caring. I will always be grateful for how they handled everything. Thank you

We had to put down our 11 year old Doberman and Dr. Jason Streck was incredibly compassionate, gentle and efficient. I highly recommend this Animal Hospital.

I don't ever leave reviews, but I want to warn everybody I possibly can about what a terrible veterinary clinic this is. I'm a vet tech in Georgia, so when I was visiting a friend in Greensboro with my pup and their idiot roommate gave her a chocolate bar while I was showering I knew she needed to get to the vet immediately. This was the only one open within an hours drive, so I rushed her 45 minutes there. From the moment I knocked on the door I was met with nothing but incompetency, arrogance, and complete disregard for animals. First of all, the VERY FIRST THING they said to me was "show your ID and payment" without even asking what happened or saying freaking hello! I wasn't even let in the building until I produced both! Fine, i get you need to make sure I can pay for your services...but could you possibly let me in the waiting room or at least glance at the pet? Despite this, I was exceedingly polite even though I wanted to strangle every single person I encountered, and was told to "sit down and be quiet" when I explained the timeline of events (highly relevant if they're going to go the regurg route), her physical status up to this time, the details I got from animal poison control, and everything else. Considering they told me she'd be "just fine if she ate some grass" and that apomorphine or activated charcoal never had any effect anyways (did anybody there even GO to tech/vet school??) after a 25 lb dog ate 12 ounces of chocolate....these people are complete morons and the practice should be shut down. If you have ANY other option, take your pet the opposite direction of this practice. Considering the astonishing level of incompetency I witnessed first hand at this "hospital" I wouldn't even trust them to give a damn distemper vaccine. Wish I could give this place negative stars and am planning on filing a complaint with the BBB and the NCVMA.

Friendly staff but the prices are rediclious... $443 for a 2 hour visit and some medications. Not to mention the vet said that my dog seemed to be prety lively to him "no need to hospitalize the puppy" he said, 24 hours later my puppy was dead.

I am very pleased with the experience I had last night at this place. I drove all the way from kernersville to go here because of the good reviews. The staff was compassionate and knowledgeable. The prices weren't sky high either. Thank you for being there last night.

Walked in on Saturday with no appointment and they took my cat back right away so she didn't have to wait with dogs. I was here for almost 4 hours and it was pricey, but this was a great clinic with an experienced vet available on the weekend. Definitely recommend.

Dr. Hill and the great team at After Hours saved my cat Velcro Baby's life! He almost died due to a urinary obstruction leading to kidney failure, but they were able to operate on him and now he has recovered splendidly. On behalf of Velcro Baby, I thank you.

I let my dog out to use the bathroom because he wouldnt settle down, but when he came back in he was struggling with something on his fur. I watched, only to see a slug fall. At first i didnt think it was an issue until he began foaming. I immediately called this hospital in case i needed to do something for him on my way to the hospital. The young lady who answered, was so kind, and calm. She told me the slug was not toxic but they "tasted nasty, thats why he was foaming at the mouth". I was so relieved and thankful. Thanks soooo much!

No one wants to have an emergency with their pet. My miniature Dachshund was struck by a truck. The staff calmed my sister who was caring for my dog and then took care of "The Fred". I have found it necessary to take Fred to the clinic more than once.
We don't choose the time of an emergency. Having an emergency facility to care for our special loved one is really great. The care given was first quality.

The experience we had there with Dr Jillian Cort at this emergency clinic was the WORST one during the one of the worst moments that we and our dog was enduring. She was condescending and patronizing and arrogant jerk. We were there to determine precisely what his condition was and to explore any possible medical interventions or medications to help our dog who was suffering due to an intestinal bleeding. She showed no compassion and started shouting belligerently at my significant other who was desperately trying to communicate and explain to this moron and educate her on everything that had transpired with him in the course of a week including visits with another veterinarian and why we were there at 3 am in the morning. She was a horrible human being to deal with at a time of crisis. A complete human waste, garbage. We took took him there to ease his pain. Because of her attitude and arrogance we had to discharge our dog from this emergency hospital and take him to another one. When my significant other who was fighting for him, continued to attempt to educate her, she actually shot her down and yelled at her some more and had the nerve to say to her you need to calm down and listen. Which ironically is precisely what Jillian Cort needed to do. She needs to shut up and listen to what the owners are telling. We are with our dogs 24/7, we endure every struggle and we are there for every vet appointment and if there is a medical issue we attend to it, find out everything we can, and we are thoroughly aware of their case history. An idiot vet who doesn't even attempt to understand or listen to an owner regarding the symptoms or other veterinary visits is a disgrace to her profession. Not to mention I believe she is emotionally unstable and has some sort of anger and temper issues. I would NOT recommend this hospital or Jillian Cort. She is unprofessional, has some serious behavioral issues and has zero respect for the owners. I do not recommend that you take your beloved pet here.

Terrible terrible TERRIBLE!!! Do not being your pet here if you have any other choice. Took my kitten there immediately after he was attacked by a dog and "Dalton" slowly sauntered over to open the door like I was just here to say hello, then he refused to even treat my cat until I produced a photo ID. Like at 4am that is my first thought when I'm scared my cat is going to die?! After an argument about it where he proceeded to tell me they would just give my very injured cat right back if I didn't show ID (even though I had a photo ID credit card) I gave up and assured him my friend would go get my ID from home. They have no concern for animals whatsoever, I had payment and was willing to go get ID just as soon as I knew my pet was going to be okay! Unbelievable. I work at an animal hospital a few hours away and we ALWAYS put treating the animal first, everything else comes later. Now I'm out $500 for them to tell me he was fine.
Update: I took my cat to my regular vet to find out that he was NOT fine and in fact needs a several thousand dollar surgery for a hernia and other internal damage. Great job guys, you almost got my cat killed because of your laziness and stupidity.

Absolutely HORRIBLE! I will NEVER recommend this animal hospital even if it is for emergencies! I brought my dog in due to him being seen by another clinic (that was closed at the time I came here) and stating that he might have had an seizure.. I bring him here and they accused me of giving him marijuana. Being that he didn't have seizure like symptoms and he was very jumpy and aware of things, they believed he had gotten into "something illegal" as they would say.. I have NEVER smoked ANYTHING EVER! Oh and I am a young black female.. Not to add insult to injury already to the situation. Anyway.. Horrible absolutely horrible. I will never go back there again. I took my 14 year old yorkie and went home and he is doing fairly well right now.
