The name is deceptive. They give you a sheet with a list of treatments and the estimated cost for each. You can decline certain things and then they bring you a new estimate with those items removed, but they add new things. (They kept pushing me for a feline leukemia and feline AIDS test, even though there is no treatment for those diseases.) I took our cat in for an upper respiratory infection and came back two weeks later when he didn't get better. On the second visit they suggested $300 worth of labs, which I declined, but I did pay for a shot of antibiotics, liquid antibiotics, a B12 shot, worm medicine, and flea medicine--none of which helped. The cat died two days later. The vet had said there was a possibility he had a disease that would attack his organs, but she had no trouble getting $200 out of me without mentioning that if he did have that disease, there was nothing that could be done. I find it hard to believe that she didn't recognize how near death he was. She said at the first visit that he was jaundiced, but instead of being straight with me about how sick he was, she gave us false hope and took our money.

It’s been a while since I’ve been here, but I wanted to share my good experience. A couple years ago, I had to make the difficult decision to put my best friend down, a 7-year-old ferret named Sugar. I was inconsolable, but the staff here were absolute angels. Each one of them obviously cared deeply for animals and were so patient and understanding with me. I was nervous that their prices were indicative of the quality of service provided, but I was proven wrong immediately. They were so professional and knowledgeable, and I couldn’t have asked for better care in my companion’s final days.

Every time I have had to take my cat there the staff has been friendly and honest with me. They are great with follow-up and even though my cat hates going to the vet like children hate going to the doctor she still likes and trusts the people who work there. They have also been kind and helpful to friends and family who have had to take their pets there and I will always recommend them.

I love this office. The vet is always very clear and the tech who normally works there is so informative. They really care about the pets and don't look at you like you are crazy if you ask how much something costs. I love it here, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes for great care.

I would like to say thank you all for the card you sent and for being so caring and taking care of my little dog puppygirl .. god knows i didnt want to have her put to sleep but i do know it was for her best and you all new it as well . She lived a good life of 15 years and old age she just couldnt do it any more . Well thanks you all ,to all you all for being so loving and kind to her . And being so gentle .we will miss comeing to see you guys .

Bet wise is good but dont go asking for bathrooms because even though you are a customer they will not let you use there bathroom, not nice

Please take your pet to another vet. I took my dog in December for an antibiotic. While I was there I had them write me a prescription for flea medicine. I made sure I took the prescription with me in December and that saved me another exam. I called them in April when I was ready to get the prescription filled. She refused to fax it to the pharmacy because it had been over 60 days. I told her I had the prescription at home and I'd take it to the pharmacy myself. Ask any vet and you will find out that it is good for one year. What a disgusting thing to do to your customers. I have a vet now and I'll never go back to this place. I love my dog too much to save a few dollars.

Amazing Service and So caring and kind. I took my sick dog here and after a complete examination and a fecal test, they recommended she go to a pet hospital for fluids and further testing. I said ok, let me settle up with you and I will take her and they said NO CHARGE, I said I owe you money you did a lot of work and they wouldn't let me pay! How caring is that! They have a customer for Life! Thank you Afford-A-Vet!
