Specialties

Aero Finish does furniture repair, antiques, restoration and refinishing. We can restore moving, storage or transit damage. We also enhance consignment furniture and heirloom pieces. Aero Finish is a small local business with refinishing facilities in Oakland and an antique restoration shop in Lafayette. We generally come to your home to evaluate what is best for your particular item: Whether it is to repair, or fully restore and refinish, your wood furniture. We also pick up and deliver most pieces.

Dining tables, chairs, pianos, trunks or old family pieces can now be repaired and restored to their former elegance. Worn and tired furniture are pieces waiting to become heirlooms for your family. Restored cribs, wood highchairs, trunks, coffee tables and desks make fabulous gifts.

Call Rich today or feel free to email pictures of your furniture in need of restoration to aerofinish@yahoo.com. We are committed to providing the best possible service to each customer
History

Established in 1991

Rich started this business in 1991, because furniture restoration had been a long-term hobby of his. He quit his work in the corporate world and decided to make his passion his business. Since starting Aero Finish Furniture Restoration and Refinishing, in addition to doing invividual's pieces, he has been the main restorer for Nordstrom's stores in the Bay Area, done rectory work at Saint Mary's College and even restored Walt Emerson's own writing desk. He has enjoyed taking many families' treasured furniture and restoring the pieces to pristine condition.
Meet the Business Owner: Rich H.

Rich grew up in the Lafayette area and is raising his family there. In addition to his passion for wood furniture, he is dedicated to music. Rich volunteers at the local grammar schools where he teaches the violin to 4th and 5th graders. He also mentors junior high and high school musicians while he plays (his refinished) violin with the Rossmore Big Band and their Generations of Jazz program. And, Rich is often seen chaperoning 7th graders at the local cotillion class.
