    One of Tampa's best dive shops, if you're looking for a professional to teach you how to drive safely! I have never had a bad dive with Dive Master Ben All he wants to do is teach you how to dive safely and have a good time :-)

    My boyfriend visited every dive shop in the Tampa area, and chose this shop to gift me the Open Dive Certification Class for Christmas because of the great customer service he received. I am so thankful that he did because Ben and Thomas from the shop were absolutely amazing. They made my first introduction to scuba diving awesome and stress free. Ben was the main instructor, and he made sure everyone was comfortable and had a good time, while learning how to properly and safely scuba dive. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to wants to purchase dive equipment or take any of the classes.

    Due to poor planning from the Adventures Under the Sea shop owner/ instructor they had no backup plans for the canceled ocean dive. They did not inform me until midday of the first dive session that is was canceled and nothing was in place to replace it and apparently it was to late to plan anything else as the owner/ instructor couldn't be bothered with planning anything else. After continues prodding with continued reluctance from the owner/ instructor we were able to scheduled the second portion of my dive certification. The second ocean dive was canceled at last minuet and we ended up going to Devils Den, with a different instructor who has years of experience and is a great teacher.
    I am exceptionally disappointed with the shop owner at Adventures Under the Sea. Read reviews and take heed to what other have said about shops and places to dive and snorkel.
    The store owner refuses to give me a refund for the ocean dives, and offered store credit. Now he will not respond to any messages. He does not let you leave the shop without buying any product. I still have not been given store credit or a refund.

    Went to buy a wetsuit from them, however the owner didn't know how to use his card machine. He just told me it was processing after trying twice, and then gave up - I never received my item.

    After looking at my bank account a couple of days later I found TWO charges of the same amount, for the item I was attempting to purchase. My bank cancelled one, thankfully, assuming it was an accidental extra. But they wouldn't take out the initial charge.

    I called and emailed the owner and he was EXTREMELY RUDE and didn't want to refund me. Instead he only wanted me to drive and pick the item up -for me a 50 minute drive if I didn't have traffic, and and a full-time USF student who also work full-time, it was difficult just to make the 2 hour venture to the store in the first place.

    I ran a dispute with my credit card company, and he only needed to call the number I gave him to verify that, indeed, it was an accidental charge. However he did not do so.

    I am currently working with my bank to get my money back, almost $150 for a wetsuit I never received. I highly recommend avoiding this crooked business.

    Ben certified us for nitrox and advanced underwater. We had a great time and a great final drift dive in palm beach. He fixes regulators and bc's too.

    The customer service of the shop is very poor. It does not seem like the staff is knowledgeable at all, which always make me nervous about a dive shop. My brother bought me a speargun from the shop for my birthday. The rigging on the gun was done completely wrong and was absolutely a safety hazard for anyone not experience with this type of speargun. It's simple; if you don't know how to rig the guns, then don't sell them. If you are not prepared to right the situation when you do mess up then don't sell them. While in the shop I had to wait for another customer complaint call to talk to the desk clerk. Followed by someone else that was told the only way they would sell them a regulator part is if they payed to have it serviced. The guy behind the counter seemed nice enough but was tied down by a lack of experience and what I view as poor shop guidelines. It was a gift, so I will not return it and fix it myself. I would not buy anything from this shop.

    Ben did a great job making sure I understood and mastered all the skills needed to be a good diver. He is a knowledgeable, patient instructor and he made it fun to learn. Hopefully you will get lucky enough to have Tom with you as well. Tom has been diving longer than anyone I have ever met. He is also an awesome guy to talk to about diving. If your curious about something he has probably done it. I could have went anywhere in Tampa but I chose AUS and I am glad I did. I plan to take the advanced course as soon as possible.

    My son took his scuba referral lessons with Ben. My family came along for one of the days for scuba diving and snorkelling. Ben brought another instructor with him for the day to help out. Ben was very helpful and especially attentive to safe diving and to helping my son develop his scuba skills. They also took a ton of underwater photos for us for memories of our family vacation. Great service and assistance!
