Incredible experience. Went on the Captain's Tour and what a tour that was! We started out learning a bit about the history of the mine then went into the mine.

The mine itself was really neat to walk through. Our tour guide (I believe his name was Brendon) was very knowledgeable about the mine itself and all of the different types of minerals we found. He definitely loved what he was doing and it made the whole tour that much better.

Rappelling down to the second level was a trip on its own. The first level was one thing, but going down to the second level was really a treat.
Our guide encouraged us to look around, inspect the rocks, and ask any questions we could think of. Every time I had a question or a thought, he offered an answer and his thoughts.

Very highly recommend to anyone visiting the UP. If you might be hesitant about doing the captain's tour because of the price trust me, it is ABSOLUTELY worth it.

Fun note: a movie called Dwarves of Demrel was filmed in that mine

We took the prospector's tour and my whole family loved it myself included
    I highly recommend it
My family includes a teenager and all the way down to a seven year old and they all thought it was the highlight of our vacation when truth be told it was just something we seen on our way thru
A jacket and hiking shoes are both beneficial

The mine was not disappointing. We had took the miner tour and our kids loved it. Our tour guide, Josie, was fun, informative and friendly. I was nervous about rappeling but Josie explained and demonstrated, and I did it!! It was very much worth the money! Thank you Josie and Adventure Mine!

We had no idea what we were in for. We read reviews and all were good. Having lived in the U.P. for 6 years (and 3 of them spent in the Copper Country) I had never done a mine tour. WOWJUST WOW.

We got to Adventures Mining around 9:45AM, and Jim was in the main office/gift shop with another employee. We had our 10 year old son with us (who was the reason we were there in the first place). We opted for the 90 minute tour. After a couple minutes of hemming and hawing over who was going to give the tour (who had what to do as they aren't just tour guides, they do many other things around the facility) we were off with Jim to the basement to get hard hats (REQUIRED) and some introduction to what we were going to see.

WOWJUST WOW. Jim was AWESOME. My son had some off the wall questions and Jim fielded every one of them. We actually ended up spending over TWO HOURS on that tour. We didn't get out of the mine until noon!!!

This is NOT your typical "oh look this is this, this is that". No, this is going into a rustic mine walking over some difficult terrain at times. Seeing how things were done back then. I HIGHLY recommend this tour for anybody that is interested in mining history at all. They did a GREAT job and we'll go back when my son is a bit older to do the rappelling tour where you get to go down to Level 2 and see even more great stuff!

Such a fun little spot to explore. The guides are great and informative, and the mine has a lot of neat stuff to see. Perfect place to visit in the heat of the summer since the mine is nice and chilly!

We took our 4yr old daughter and 7yr old son on the Trammers tour. They both had a great time. Our guide, Jim, was great. It was fun to see our children feeling comfortable asking questions and Jim did a great job answering them in a way they'd understand. They both asked to go back when they are old enough to do the longer tour.

We did the Miners tour, I think where you repell down 80 feet but it's not the longest tour where you need reservations. Brandon the guide was great. He did not act like he was bord with the tour at all. Told us all sorts of interesting facts. Pointed out things and explained what they were. He is obviously a local and suggested places to eat and things to see. They are not kidding when they say bring a light jacket. Bring one, don't try to be a tough guy. Wish we had had the opportunity to take more pictures inside though. We repelled and I would have liked a picture of that but didn't really feel like there was an opportunity to do so. Make sure if you want pictures to make them stop. Other than that I thought it was a very cool experience.

My S.O. and I decided to skip a day of hiking to make time for a tour at Adventure Mine Company and we are very glad we did! We took the Prospector's tour with our tour guide Jacob. He did an amazing job explaining the backstory behind Adventure Mine. I recommend any one who's passing through the area to take a tour!
