Louis Armstrong's "What a wonderful world is my description of my experience with Dr. Evan and Dr. Zach. I had stuff and then I had less stuff, how great is that? Vertigo-gone. High Blood Pressure in control. Digestive system good. Mood Great! They have a wonderfully kind and caring staff. They challenge my brain with a question of the day. I can't say enough about these two young Doctor's their kindness and gentleness and their attention to making sure you know the plan and that you understand why is tops with me. I recommend you make and appointment and experience it for yourself
This place is a wonderful environment! I’ve noticed fast and effective changes since being adjusted way back in August. I have more energy, better digestion and a higher immune system. I look forward to every adjustment! The Doctors and ladies up front have an answer for every question and are always willing to help me out no matter the concern I have. If you want to heal and improve your health, this is the place I would recommend going too. The support is everything to me!
My husband saw their add on tv and wanted me to give them a call. My diabetic neuropathy was absolutely horrible. The pain would keep me up at night, I was always in tears, and I knew that it was only a matter of time before the pain stepped up to the next level and became even worse. Not only were my feet numb, tingling, stinging, feeling sharp stabbing pains, but my hands were starting to feel the same, but with less intensity than my feet.
I had already visited my normal doctor regarding my neuropathy, as well as an Endocrinologist, Pulmonologist, and Neurologist. I was poked, prodded, electrocuted, stuck with needles, drained of vials of blood and placed on Gabapentin. When the neuropathy pain increased, my Gabapentin doses were increased. I asked my doctor what would happen the next time my pain increased and the Gabapentin couldn't control the pain? The answer was to increase the Gabapentin again to the highest dose. After that, who knows?
At one point, the pain was so bad that during a visit to my regular doctor, I asked her if she would provide PAD (Physician-Assisted Dying). I was absolutely lost, not knowing how much more pain I could take and I was feeling desperate. She refused, as the state of WI does not legally allow this procedure.
As bad as the pain was, I kept putting off the call to Advantage Chiropractic. After years of being told that Gabapentin was the only treatment, I thought that if I met with the doctors at AC, I would either be told that I was doing all that I could do, or they would try to sell me snake oil.
I finally made the call and spoke with Rachel. I remember crying while on the phone with her and when I came in to the office for my first appointment, I was also in tears. I was having a horrible neuropathy event right before I came in and I was pretty leery of what these doctors could do.
I met with Dr. Zach and he did some preliminary tests and evaluated my level of neuropathy. I was so relieved to hear that needles and electrocution were not part of his exam! On my second visit, he reviewed my results with my husband and I, and he explained what would happen if I became a patient. I was still leery, but I had only two options left: continue what I was doing and slowly lose my feet altogether or my life, or try Dr. Zach's treatment.
Dr. Zach and Dr. Evan have been my doctors for several months now, and I am so glad that I made the decision to become their patient! They gave me quite a bit of daily work (therapy) to do at home and I come in to the office twice a week for an adjustment, but after so little time, I am feeling a million times better! Yes, I still have neuropathy pains, but they are absolutely no where near the intensity of what they used to be. I noticed that with the treatment of my hands, my carpal tunnel pain has lessened, too! I am not cured of my affliction, but I am no longer in tears, the little pain that I do have is tolerable, and I am able to function without thoughts of what I would have to do if the pain was unbearable. I have a long way to go and I actually, for the first time, am optimistic that I will eventually be able to cut out my Gabapentin altogether.
I am so grateful to my husband for pushing me to see the doctors and I am so grateful for the treatments that Dr. Zach and Dr. Evan have been providing, to help me through my journey of recovery. I cannot forget to mention that the office staff is wonderful, too! When I walk in the door, they greet me like I was a patron of the bar, Cheers. It is heartwarming!
Thank you to all of you and I look forward to a very long, happy, healthy relationship! I look forward to a day when I can be pain free and my neuropathy can be super light or non-existent! I'm getting therebaby steps
