    I purchased a Sigma lens from Adorama when I was in NYC a few months ago, which was a pleasant experience. The sales employee who helped me (William) was businesslike but knowledgeable and helpful. The store is relatively small but clean and certainly not short on merchandise. It makes B&H look like a bit of a zoo, but both are quality stores in their own way.

    The reason I decided to leave a 5 star review was not because of my first purchase but because of my second one: an online purchase of a Nikon-refurbished D7200. I decided to penny-pinch and chose standard shipping, even though I was cutting it close with my upcoming vacation. The original UPS date of arrival was delayed once (they do seem to have more than the usual issues with UPS), but the camera still arrived in great condition within the stated 10 business days - 2 days before my trip.

    When I tried to charge the battery, however, it wouldn't charge. I immediately called Adorama and explained my situation to Salvin D, who had sent me a confirmation email for a replacement charger with free overnight shipping almost before I could ask. While they couldn't overnight me a new battery (a UPS restriction), he put me in touch with Nikon support to try to troubleshoot the issue. The charger arrived the next day and solved the issue, and I got to take some great shots on my trip.

    Thanks for the excellent customer service. I'll be shopping with Adorama again in the future.

    I recently created a photo book with Adorama, and I love it. It is far and away the best photo book I've ever seen in terms of quality. Images are crisp, clean and color is perfect. The pages are thick and the cover is substantial. It is really beautiful and did my photos from Kenya justice.

    Website was easy to use. Fast delivery. Product had been siting on their shelf for over a year and was no longer under manufacturers warranty. Called Adorama, they told me it would 2-3 business days before they could contact the manufacturer. Recommend I call the manufacture to speed up the process. I call the manufacturer (Lenovo). They told me they can't extend the warranty without the serial number being on the receipt. I recommend not purchasing items from Adorama without first confirming the items is still under warranty and making sure they provide the serial number on the receipt. If Adorama can't get this resolved in a few days, I'm going to file a complaint with the NY AG and return the item.

    Back in May or June, I saw an add for a Nikon D750 with the 24-120,, f/4 lens, MB-D16 battery pack and a bunch of other stuff for a very good price. By the time I was ready to pull the trigger and buy the package, it was gone. I asked if and when it would be available again and it was explained to me that Nikon basically sets the price and they weren't sure when it would happen again. Someone else (not an Adorama employee) said he wouldn't be surprised to see it pop up again around the holidays. Well, there it was just before Thanksgiving. This time I didn't wait and placed my order. This was my first purchase from Adorama so I didn't know what to expect or how they operated (only heard good things). I placed my order -- opting not to pay extra for expedited shipping because Adorama was already offering free standard shipping -- and waited a couple of days before checking on the status. When I did, I noticed it said "processing, pending verification". Not knowing what it meant, I sent an email to Customer Service asking if there was something I forgot to include or if they needed additional information. Ricardo responded saying he doesn't know why it's pending. He did say there was a shipping delay from the warehouse. He said there was no reason for it to be delayed, so he upgraded my order to next day at no charge! I wasn't complaining, I was just curious. That was above and beyond anything I could have expected. Thanks Adorama, and thank you Ricardo.

    Happy with my camera purchase from Adorama. I was helped by Daniel Gee, who was very patient with me. He was also knowledgeable and was able to guide me on what camera and lens to buy for my needs and within my price range. This was my first time buying a camera so I really appreciated that. The store was closing in 15 minutes and he assured me that the store will not close until I'm 100% confident of my purchases. There is also a 30 day refund on all new products unlike other stores and with my Nikon camera purchase I received a free bag, memory card, cleaning kit, and a editing program for the same price that other stores were selling the Nikon camera.     I purchased a gimbal from Adorama over a month ago. The description made me believe it would work with the camera I am using and unfortunately it does not (due to incorrect item description). This was okay and I was more than happy to figure out the issue and mail back the item I had purchased so I could either get my money back, or purchase a compatible version. I never heard back from them for the near 4 weeks worth of continued attempts to contact them in order to resolve the issue within the 30day grace period. I then contacted them numerous times via phone after not receiving a response to the multiple emails I had sent regarding the issue. After multiple attempts, I have come here to write just how poor the customer service was. After every phone call (that I managed to actually get a rep on the line), I was informed I'd be receiving further information in regards to return the item (I received no such instructions, ever). Now that I'm outside the 30 day return period, they refuse to offer any help nor do they want to take responsibility for the wrong description of the item. I'm out $180 and the customer service was worse than anyone I had ever dealt with. I've never written a bad review for any brand or product, but Adorama, you take the cake on this one. I will never buy anything from you again, and I will tell every single person I know to never even consider your company for camera equipment. Congratulations. You played yourself.

    Avoid! I quickly needed a new computer and accessories for work, so I spent $2,500 on three "in stock" items with an order placed on Saturday, which included free expedited delivery (supposedly). Unfortunately, the order sat without processing for 2.5 business days before getting shipped out late on Wednesday, forcing me to have to pay extra for expedited shipping to ensure its arrival on time.

    I recommend taking your business elsewhere if you need your items on time (or quickly).

    The best place for deals, especially used equipment. Photography equipment can be pricey, but I save a lot by buying used at Adorama.They stock everything that's photo, video, audio, computers, drones, T.V.'s ... they even have a professional diving department on the upper floors. Unlike some other stores, they have tutorials to explain the gear they sell. Sales people aren't pushy and know the equipment they sell. I've even had sales people tell me, you don't need to buy that , or it's available used at a deep discount. Anything you want , they can get the next day, or it can be drop shipped to your address. I've been shopping here since 1999. I've never had a problem. They have an easy return policy, and warranty used items for 30 days. They also rent. They have an extensive rental department on the top floors .
    So one can rent anything from a camera lens to a fully loaded box truck with all the bells and whistles for a video shoot on location with power generators . Although there are bigger stores out there, I keep coming back for the customer service....

    After a negative experience purchasing a camera on line via Amazon, I went to Adorama and was impressed with their friendliness, knowledge, and good guidance in helping me purchase a top quality compact camera to take travel photos and more. The sales clerk I worked with was extremely knowledgeable, knew the specks of the cameras I was considering, could describe strengths and weaknesses, and helped me to make a wise purchase considering my needs and best value. I spent two hours there trying out a variety of cameras, with no pressure to buy, and walked out with a great camera and a very satisfied customer. Thanks, Adorama!

    4 and 1/2 stars.... You _will_ be able to match or beat the best prices you find online (especially Amazon prices). And unlike Amazon, you can talk directly with someone who knows his or her subject . . . within limits. Some of the staff are extremely knowledgeable. Some are photographers and higher-end computer users themselves. You do have to get a sense of a staff person's knowledge. When I was hunting for a better printer, I found the staff person in that area was not much of an expert. But on computers and storage, the staffer was outstanding. Additionally, you can do a trade-in at Adorama (though you will find better prices for your gear if you can sell it yourself . . . _if_ you can sell it yourself).

    The second biggest 📷 store in NYC. Must see if you like gears and want to try it. They also do some classes to learn cool stuff. The entrance is a little bit hided by a working platform.

    Whilst in NYC I have always shopped at B&H for years. This time (today) I gave Adorama a try and must say, it's v good. In fact the staff is more friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful as compared to B&H. I got everything I was looking for and was sold additional stuff by the friendly and eager to help salesman :) So glad I shopped there and I guess it b comes my preferred camera store in NYC now. Keep it up Adorama.

    I made a purchase online and realized the next day I had ordered the incorrect item. It had already shipped out but when I called in the operator was able to set an intercept at no charge for the item to be re routed back to the store. She was very nice and quick. Overall a great experience. Wonderful customer service!

    Awesome experience every time.
    They have a helpful and knowledgeable staff who understand the importance building Long-Term Customer Loyalty. There hasn't been anything that I haven't been able to purchase from them with any issues.
    I look forward to many years of fulfilling my photography essentials with them, as they have become my goto place for on-demand photography needs.

    The best store for anything photography. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Buy, sell, trade equipment here. Great selection of used gear. Free classes for all skill levels, equipment testing events even a summer block party. Love this place.
