Throw away your ID's, you're not going to need it. They treat you here like numbers. It does not seem like there is a customer appreciation. I felt like a prisoner going in and a prisoner coming out. However, they have huge selections. So, I'll just ignore the attitudes and focus on my parts.
The lot it’s self isn’t bad, it’s the staff. They don’t explain rules, their staff tells you that you can tie stuff up as long as it’s within the junk yard and then when you go to “carry”it out they want you to dead lift and kill your back to prove a point without the ties they told you could have.
Another friend did the deadlift and carried the bulk of items across the line.
It was then time to carry the rest of the items. The owner told me to “dump the bag of bolts in the seat “ that was to be carried by the person who was actually buying the parts. When I got upset about possibly losing his job bolts he proceeded to lie and say he didn’t say it. Then he proceeded to mock me and call ME a liar in front of numerous patrons saying I said they were my parts.
He then tried to tell all of us that we couldn’t buy anything and tried to refuse us service for our items and what was already carried. .
When I told him I was contacting news for jax and wanting his name, he walked away and requested I leave the property.
Now, as a human being, I have never in my life ever been treated this way by a business. I was there to help pull parts for a friend.None of the parts were mine.
When he realized just how badly he handled this situation, he told the men I was with he would sell them the parts another time. I refused that as an answer and so did they.
They got their parts with me leaving the property but I will go to other yards and recommend them over ace every time from now on.
A happy person tells 7 people.an angry one tells everyone. I have never ever been treated this poorly . Ever.
(Yet people have suitcases and 2 people lifts and that’s allowed for others, but not us?, yeah “ clear, concise rules ace has for the last 10 Years” my foot.
Great place for replacement parts, the price seams fair. One thing that would make it better is to put a shaded rest area in the middle of the lot ,with some portable restrooms a water fountain or drink machine. The longer someone stays the more they may find in the yard.
It is a rare occasion for me to leave a 1 star review. Unfortunately, the up charge tactics and poor customer service that plague this place warrant one. I have visited Ace Pick A Part on many occasions over the past decade. Over time, I saw many people walk away from it in anger. Today, I joined this enormous club. Sure, their prices are not commensurate with the quality of their yard and, if you can wait, Amazon and ebay are much better resources. Often times you can buy new parts from the internet for not much more than you can buy used ones from Ace. Yet, that's not the reason so many hate this place. Their business model is based on extracting up charges in the form of core charges. Having dealt with LKQ and Go Auto in a professional capacity for 10+ years, I know rebuidlable parts are the only parts real yards charge cores on. Who charges a core on a Window switch? Ace. Who charges a core on wheels? Ace. Who charges a core on a rubber hose? Ace. Ace bets on customers not returning their cores and thus Ace's "prices" are not their true prices. Attempt to return your core, like I and many others have found out, and there will almost always be some reason to send you away, core still in your hand. They will let you stand in a long line with your cart full of wheels and tires you've just lugged from across the parking lot in 95 degree Florida heat, just to tell you wheel cores must have tires removed, regardless of the fact you bought wheels with tires on them and were charged a higher core than when you bought wheels alone. Of course, they won't tell you this even if you've asked twice about where to return the cores and how. Of course they have no signs indicating their arcane requirements. No they just have a pile of "cores" with tires mounted standing as a pyramid of contradiction to what they'll tell you with a straight face. Even so, there you will stand, core in hand. Fortunately, I have never seen them successfully thwart a customer's attempt to return a body panel core. You might get lucky there.
Honestly and truthfully the WORST junkyard I have ever been to. This place is an absolute joke as well as their staff it's 2017, why isn't no star an option. I live 35 minutes away to drive to this trash drive. It's pouring raining and windy. I basically wasted my Saturday dealing with these people and to be honest, they can keep their money. I won't be spending min here. Now I know why people don't support small businesses. People like them who REFUSE to work with your situation is a waste of time. Don't make my mistake. Avoid Ace-pick-a-joke at all cost and spend your money where they might actually appreciate your service.
Excellent customer service. Fast and efficient. Best value for your salvaged pieces.
My personal experience to all potential customers is be careful because by the time you get charged all the fees via environmental cores etc it is not worth roasting out in the sun when you can by new for same price or go to regular junkyard and pay less price and not have to roast yourself, plus play their game of them changing the price when you get up to counter. Bait and switch pricing, I don't understand why this yard wouldn't rather sell part for a truly discounted price than sending it to crusher and getting nothing for the part. On average these yards are clearing between 2 million to 5 million. I feel business like this that charge whatever they want and don't go by their own pricing on website need to be reported to state and have security firms investigate. I don't need a canned response from owner saying how sorry they are when I truly know they really don't care at all and are just responding to save face. Remember the consumer truly holds the power when it comes to business getting the word around and making people aware so they do not shop at places like this will eventually make a business change their ways or make a business go out of business as what happened with lkq Jacksonville
First time going to Ace and it far exceeded my expectations. Very friendly staff explained the 'rules' and were very patient with my questions. Was able to find the vehicle makes and models online and sure enough they were there and had a good amount of usable parts. They provide carts which is very helpful as I was over prepared and brought way to many tools. Make sure to bring at least a gallon of water with you as we head into August! But they do have water for sale there which is convenient. Can't wait to go back!
They do not update their site regularly, searched for a 940 Volvo they had on their site with the row location, but when I arrived that row of cars was empty. I feel if you clear out cars in your lot you should update the cars you have on site.
Unbelievable! This is the first time I've ever reviewed any business. Asked about gauge pricing "5 dollars" Spend all afternoon and was told that they meant aftermarket gauges. They wanted to charge me the full Cluster price for just gauges. The business should be more specific even though I feel like they know exactly what you are doing. I've been to other junkyards around the country and when they say gauges they mean GAUGES. Single gauge from inside the cluster on older model cars. Aftermarket gauges shouldn't be on the price list. How many cars come in with an aftermarket gauge pod? 3 a year? Get real! So make sure you ask how much an OEM part is because obviously it varies between after market glass and original glass or aftermarket fenders and original fenders, etc. It's a real shame I couldn't do business with these guys because I could use a lot of parts in that yard even though some prices are on the high side. I figured the prices being a bit higher the service would mimic that but I guess I'll have to go elsewhere.
Website not active. Phone experience horrible. Employee doesn't listen, she talks over you and insist no one will pick up the phone to verify if they have a particular car on the lot. She indicated it will just keep ringing back ro her. What kind of business refuses to help the customers they depend on? So disappointed!!!
Good selection of vehicles. But. Hamster cage fencing. Security gates. Handling fee attached if you use a credit card???? You already charge on average more than any other yard in the southeast.
It's 2017 lower your prices or drop the car handling fee and get more business.
Your competition go pull it and lkq are taking your customers by providing better Customer Service.
