  We Absolutely loved our entire experience! Totally amazing! Great staff, and a beautiful flight! We did the sunrise ride and it was so incredible peaceful floating through the sky watching the sun rise. I would do this 100 more times!

  My boyfriend bought me our first ride together as a birthday present. I am typically scared of heights, but I felt so safe and comfortable in this hot air balloon ride. Now I can't wait to go again!

  Deana and Chris made our experience beyond amazing. From the constant communication and detailed notes on what to expect, our trip was worth every penny. The champagne, photo op, homemade bread, and views has me already itching for more! Chris made the trip above the clouds so effortless and felt like we were floating.   Stacey and I had an awesome hot air balloon ride through Above the Clouds Hot Air Balloon Rides in Middletown, NY. Our sunrise trip yesterday was exciting and peaceful at the same time! Deana is a consummate professional and answered our every question. She had hot coffee and home baked apple bread waiting for us upon our early and chilly arrival! Chris, her husband and "co-captain" at Above the Clouds, was our pilot expert! He was so great at his craft and made us feel safe and special. He told great, funny and informative stories as we flew. Our fellow passengers were as charmed and thrilled as we were. A wonderful time in every way! We highly recommend Above the Clouds for you hot air balloon memory of a lifetime!!

  What a bunch of crooks. Balloon ride purchased for my birthday was scheduled for a day that turned out clear, cloudless and ideal. We travelled to Middletown a day early to enjoy the early am liftoff. Received a phone call at 9pm the night before our ride, only to be given some lame excuse that the flight was cancelled. We spent two days in Middletown with no ride. When we tried to reschedule it turned out to be a hassle and, a few days before our new flight we had a family emergency. We were told by these crooks that we must cancel at least a week before or forfeit our ride. So they can cancel on paying customers a only few hours before a flight, but we need to give them a weeks notice? Save your money and go elsewhere.

  Came with my girlfriend, had a really good experience! Chris and Deana are extremely nice and accommodating. There's a possibility of schedule changes due to weather, but definitely worth it.

  I was super nervous about this as I am afraid of heights. Even before getting in the Balloon, Deana kept things light while explaining what to do and expect for the ride. What an experience!!! It was calm and peaceful, the view was unbelievable. Chris (the pilot) made me feel safe and secure from take off to the landing. Do this!!

  This balloon ride was a wonderful experience and a wonderful birthday gift from my daughters. The operators of this business saw to our every need, taking our pictures for us and also providing their own lovely picture for each of us at the end of our ride. Coffee, hot chocolate and donut holes were waiting for us inside their cute little building/reception area, along with a restroom and the opportunity to buy a Land's End custom embroidered tee shirt (which we bought.) The operators were courteous, attentive and fun to visit with leading to an easy rapport of joking and laughing. My daughter and I loved seeing the bird's eye beauty of the area with its changing autumn leaf color. We were not the least bit frightened nor did we ever feel there was a lack of safety precautions to insure a happy and safe experience. The entire experience was smooth from start to finish. Loved it!

  a great time, there really is no fear very smooth take off and landing. Views are beautiful and so peaceful. highly recommend the longer ride, time fly's when your up there. The crew was very friendly ,helpful and they have there operation down pat.Deana and her guys are safety 1st at all times, you have to be flexible with dates because of weather, but worth the wait. And besides being professional It's a class operation thanks for a great bucket list memory George and Michele Leone

  I purchased tickets for a sunrise flight for my girlfriend and it couldn't have been more perfect! We just had our flight this morning and we couldn't wait to write a review for our experience. I rarely write reviews but Above the Clouds absolutely deserved one. Twice we needed to reschedule our flight due to weather. Deana and Chris make it a priority to only fly when it is safe. They stand by their perfect record of flying without incidents as they should! They were both very flexible and accommodating to our requests regarding booking another day and time for our flight. Chris is a fantastic pilot, taking us over 2,000 feet high in the air, giving us amazing views of the beautiful landscapes...even allowing us to see the buildings of the Manhattan skyline in the distance! Deana has a great personality and was so fun to talk to! As long as Above the Clouds is in Chris and Deana's hands they will continue to be such an amazing success! We cannot WAIT to come back and fly again. On behalf of my girlfriend, Shannon, and myself we both thank you so much for such an incredible experience.

  I'm not someone that often writes a review but the experience of hot air ballooning with above the clouds was the best experience I have had in a very long time. From there wonderful customer service when I arranged my flight to the coffee and snacks they provide you to when you arrive to the friendly nature of the pilot in flight with his stories, historical facts about the area and expertise in ballooning I would never fly with another company! The
  Ride was wonderful with amazing views and peaceful ride.
