Horrible experience seeing Howl's Moving Castle this evening. It's a quieter movie, and the whole time we noticed the chairs shaking from the massive bass next door (Justice League). Even after drawing it to the attention of staff, there was no improvement. Also, that particular auditorium is next to the restrooms and stunk of raw sewage. Now, my jaw hurts from gritting my teeth against that awful basso rumble. Ugh.

Spacious theater with recliner seats. They have alot of concessions options and even have a bar inside of the theater for those who want to enjoy a drink with their movie. This location does get pretty busy, but they have plenty of screens and seats to accommodate. The only thing that I disliked was the restrooms. They were the dirtiest movie theater restroom I have ever been in! As soon as I walked in the smell of pee hit me. The floor was disgusting and pretty much every stall was out of toilet paper. I used the bathroom before the movie and after (a good 3.5 hours in between-it was a long movie) and conditions never changed, leading me to believe employees neglect it. The restroom condition is the only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars.

Pretty epic, really! I as surprised! I expected just a theater but they have a bar, good food and awesome reclining seats!

Since the property has updated its theaters, they are so much more comfortable and clean! This is now my favorite place to go to the movies. I like the staff because they are not overbearing or annoying. Overall I really like the theater. The recliner seats are amazing and because they are leather they feel more clean which makes the experience better. I would highly recommend this place!

Great theater. I love the comfy seats. The ability to pre-order and reserve your seat is awesome!

No matter the time of day, week, month, or year I go to this AMC, it seems in want of cleaning: lobby, soda area, restrooms, theater - you name it. I also feel the concession stands are understaffed, and there is just a general lack of pride in the theater. I frequent various AMC theaters, as well as other franchises throughout the east valley, including locally-owned venues, so I do have a point of comparison. Please understand, this is not to say employees aren't genuine or helpful - most are. It's just there is room for improvement in general.

Comfortable seats, big selection, food tastes awesome, 100s of drinks, alcohol and candy. Movie selection always new and exciting. Would recommend. A blast! CON: The food area closes too early though.

I love this theater every time I go. The employees aren't overly eager or spirited to do their jobs but that's fine. They aren't unpleasant or anything. You can buy your own ticket at the kiosk anyway. The people tearing the tickets are probably the most friendly. The comfortable seats and matinee prices before 11am keep me returning. However, perhaps checking to make sure NO ONE is on their cell phones or talking obnoxiously during the movies would be excellent. Do that theater sweep a few times during each film.

My husband and I went to the AMC Ahwatukee Theatre on Saturday, 5/6 hoping to see Get Out at the 7:30 pm showing. We were there at 7:15 pm. When we went to the kiosk to pay and choose our seats, the only time listed was for 10:00 pm. We questioned if the show was sold out. The customer service representative looked it up and did not know if there was even a 7:30 pm time slot. He then asked another employee. The second customer service representative said there was never a 7:30 pm showing and that I must have looked it up wrong. Walking away, I accessed my phone and up came the AMC Ahwatukee website search indicating the 7:30 pm showing for Get Out. I went back and showed the employee who questioned my ability to do a website search that indeed the actual show times conflicted with the AMC website. He again told me again that I must have looked it up wrong. I then asked a female customer service representative who was nearby just standing there. She said they changed the times to accommodate The Guardian of the Galaxy Vol II movie since it was more popular. (See actual screen shot of AMC Website with Movie times below)
Needless to say, we left AMC and went to another movie theatre. I have been an AMC patron and Ahwatukee resident for over 20 years. I do not appreciate being lied to or belittled by your customer service representatives because you decided to change the venue. At a time when movie theatres are struggling to survive against alternative options, I would think customer service should be a stellar part of the AMC movie going experience. Otherwise, why bother leaving home and paying to see movie at an AMC Theatre?

I like the reserved seating with nice wide recliners. However, when my wife went to order an adult beverage, they asked for her driver's license. When she gave it to them, they ran it through a scanner. I asked them what it was and the bartender told me it kept track of who was drinking and how many drinks they were having. Although we have nothing to hide, I don't appreciate the big brother approach and scanning IDs without permission.

The employees are nice. The reclining seats are awesome. Unfortunately the place was filthy, restrooms especially. OVERPRICED! Volume during the movie was way too loud. Good luck even parking your car unless you have a smart car or motorcycle. If you are a really laid back person, then none of that stuff should bother you. Otherwise make sure you visit the bar.

Nice and friendly. I like the reserved seating. The comfortable seating is like being at home. It cost a little but is well worth it.

I love the new renovations to this movie theater. It's a great experience for the entire family. However, the prices have gone up quite a bit. So expect to fork out a few more dollars on movie night.
