  I think this may be the first internet review I've ever written but it's seriously, truly deserved. My hard drive crashed around 5pm on Monday while I was mid crunch time on a deadline, and I was very devastated. I dropped my laptop at ALB Tech around 1:30pm the next day and was told the turn around time would probably be a day, which seemed SO reasonable to me as it was. I was prepared to wait at least a week so a day felt like nothing. You can imagine my shock, gratitude and relief when I got a call at 4:43pm that my computer was ready for pick up, same day! (and I was able to get it when I was off work because they stay open til 7:00 on Tuesdays! very cool of them) I think we can all agree that that kind of turn around is almost unheard of and WAY beyond what I would ever expect a repair place to be able to do. So, the actual labor/service provided is definitely top notch, and I could leave it at that. But! I also really need to comment on the level of patience and general human kindness that was shared alongside well explained + straight forward info about my best options going forward with my truly fried hard drive. Shout out to Cindy for the kindness and for really speedy repair work! Richmond is super lucky to have such a killer repair shop! Edit: I also feel that their prices are incredibly reasonable which was an added relief + bonus!

  We recently had a printer connectivity issue and a tech was dispatched. He was courteous and did his best to problem solve. Unfortunately, his "fix" didn't last more than a couple of days. After a phone call to the office, I was able to speak with both the tech and the owner of ALB. They were anxious to please, came back out and completed everything to our satisfaction. Would work with them again.

  These guys are the BEST!!!! I have an OLD 2006 Mac laptop. The whole frame was cracked. They did not recommend fixing it because it was so old and may not work much longer. They didn't want me to waste my money. Very honest about it. I did it anyway for sentimental reasons and it was EXTREMELY reasonable. 2 years later, it's still runs like a top :)

  I started to have a stressful issue with my ASUS laptop a few weeks ago and had to go to two on-campus tech places to help me out. Neither could but I was recommended to ALB. Within a day, they were able to fix the problem with my laptop and not only that, reduced the cost THREE times. They didn't have to do that but they did. Highly recommend this place to everyone! Laid back and professional atmosphere!

  I've been to this place on two separate occasions. The first time,they told me that it would be cheaper to buy a new computer than to fix the problem, and didn't charge me anything.
  
  The second time, I needed a new wireless card. They had a used one on hand for a very cheap price, and had installed that same day!
  
  This place just keeps exceeding my expectations.

  AMAZING service, the diagnostic was FREE and I got my laptop back to me within 2 hours of me dropping it off. I thought I was going to have to spend a couple hundred, I spent $25 (I also realize I didn't have to replace any parts but a flat $25 is still amazing). They also cleaned my laptop for me, and they have a cute dog inside. 10/10 go there for any computer issues you have.

  I have a Lenovo that is the most finicky creature in the world. Sometimes it wants to turn on, sometimes it doesn't. Also, occasionally, the screen just goes black. I really should just get another computer, but I'm also a PhD student, so trying to hold off on that.
  ALB Tech has come through for me every time. Super fast service (usually day of return), super affordable, and always helpful and willing to explain technology things. You generally walk in, are waited on ASAP or at least greeted if someone else is ahead of you, and then they sit down and try a few things before giving you an estimate on time to diagnose with potential solutions with prices. They're very transparent from the beginning. I have only ever been fully satisfied when I come to them (usually when I'm inwardly dying because have I lost everything?), and they are my go-to lifesavers. I definitely recommend!
