  Friendly service but not so attentive to your requests: Proceed with caution if you plan to get a quote! I got a quote to add my husband to my policy. Without my request, and without proof of cancelation from my husband's agent, he was auto-enrolled on my policy. I ended up paying monthly for a duplicate car insurance policy for my husband's car due to their mistake.

  This Mercury Insurance is actually AIS, which isn't a big thing except when you get correspondence from AIS and not Mercury it feels deceptive. A few weeks after getting insured they asked for an affidavit in relation to and accident March of 2014, under penalty of perjury I submitted an affidavit that stated I was not at fault as decided by the insurance company, there were no injuries, and the police do not file a report if there are no injuries (City of Sacramento policy). I do not have any documents to prove what I stated was true, but they do not have any information to contest what I stated is not true and correct. I just moved from West Sacramento to Los Angeles and had my insurance brokered by a company located Sacramento, so I do not have a way to pulling any documents from that company unless I am in their office. This is such a pain, having to prove my innocence and still having to pay this company; if I am paying, then I need a service that will be professional by accessing their own resources to retrieve information instead of sending me on a wild goose chase. This has been stressful especially considering I am the primary income for my family and I attend full time at UCLA, last thing I need is a company I PAY to harass me for documents that do not exist.
